Some of my forebears that came to Australia were Moravian. They came from Silesia.
That was one of the best explanations.of the history of and the teachings of the Moravian brethren. Count Zinzendorf must have had almost cultic/mystic like abilities to bring people around to his view on teachings.
The czech church try to make a "modern" hussite revival. I can't say much of it's doctrine but their vestments are nice.
I'd love to hear your comments on the issue of Christians falling away, losing their faith and their salvation. The Bible has many warnings about falling away, the parable of the sower, 1 Corinthians 11:1-13, Hebrews 6:4-6, and many many others. Yet I almost never hear this addressed from even confessional Lutheran pulpits. Why is that? Shouldn't these very clear warnings from God be proclaimed.
Excellent concise talk on John Huss and the Moravians. I have a copy of Count Von Zinzendorf's commentary on the Augsburg Confession sitting on my bookshelf, but haven't started reading it yet. He was ordained a Lutheran Minister, but was later criticized by orthodox Lutherans. I long ago rejected nondenominationalism, but thought it would be interesting to get Zinzendorf's take on the Augsburg Confession.
Does the ELDONA allow laymen to join who aren't sure about OJ, or must they boldly and without reservation denounce OJ before being admitted?
I was wondering if God pregnated Marie while she was married and deeply in love with her husband Joseph, she probably didn't consent to this child.
Did God then make a rape crime?
