Charles Stanley | – Discovering Our Real Needs | Timeless Truths – Dr. Charles Stanley

How do we know what our unmet needs are? Dr. Stanley teaches the importance of distinguishing between needs and desires. God is a good God, and He wants to give us not only what we need, but also the desires of our hearts—pleasures that fit who we are as children of God. Identifying needs versus desires will help us gain proper perspective when it comes to our apparent unmet needs.

  1. I had to cry for this one. I never really thought about it, but I definitely struggle with belonging. I feel so alone in every aspect of my life. I'm in an age group that's so hard to find Christian friends. I'm single and have no hope for a wife. Lord, please give me a desire to walk with you, and not try to fulfill any needs through my own strengths. Help me in my struggles, and help me know I belong to you. Amen.

  2. Oh my God..thank you! I just stumbled on this word, I absolutely needed this today. Praise you Jehovah, Holy Spirit power and Jesus Christ Amen Amen Amen! Grant me spiritual wisdom Lord in Jesus Christ name Amen Amen Amen

  3. Isn't it wonderful that our pastors care so much about us that they think they rule over us in all matters. It's comforting that they confront us and inform us that we cannot live a righteous and acceptable life without them. Slowly like a snake they have sought us out to attack us in every way possible.
Actually they don't have to seek us out, we go to him and that's our fault. We cannot do without our pastors telling us what we need, what we can/cannot do, how we should act, how we should live, how to raise our children, what job we should have, etc …
This isn't a man of God, he's a life destroyer, a family destroyer. He attacks you until he wears you down and you don't even know it. In other words: he's got you. And many will go back to him until the day they wise up.

  4. I saw this video, Today(6/6/21), On Ch.5(KTLA), @ 11:30AM, and Felt Jesus was talking to me, Through Dr. Charles Stanley! I cried, So hard, Watching this, and Encourage people… To share it, With their loved-ones and others, ASAP!, Before someone takes their own life!(Jer 29:11)(NKJV)

  5. A Cliff's Notes version beginning with a few important teaching prerequisites before attempting to tackle the underlining motives like a desire for belonging, a desire for a feeling of worthiness, and a desire for a sense of competence–a tall order that takes a relationship with God to fulfill.
