  1. This story is a perfect example of how accountability and justice are essential and often work to expose one's sin in order to bring about repentance and even reconciliation. It was only in prison that the old man was humbled and found Christ. He was forced to confront the effects of his own sin.

  2. It’s amazing how people blame God for evil when they can read clearly in John 10:10 that it is the devil that comes to kill steal and destroy but Jesus came to give life and life more abundantly. When God walked the earth he healed all who came to him and raised the dead. Never blame God for badness or evil. This is all from our enemy the devil who prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of lights with whom there is no variations James 1:17,18

  3. Was there time enough to call on Elders and Other Churches and Local Police FBI etc to get involved use of " church discipline " should have been used day and night with prayers … This criminal should have been bound before he started his rampages.

  4. Dear Deborah,
This comment is 1 year late but I pray that God's perfect will be done in your life and that no weapon fashioned against you will prosper. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ shield you from darkness and see you through the valley.

  5. I have been a regular church goer for 21 years. And I'm a better person for it. But I have problems with forgiveness. I am working on it. May God bless that woman and her brother. I have work to do. Thanks for that inspiring vid. Cliff australia

  6. Our God is an awesome God! He reigns from heaven above!
In summer of 1997, my friend's 11yr old daughter, André Rene Bosse, was abducted, repeatedly raped, then murdered by a neighbor. No one knew he was a child molester! We set up search posts, & looked for that little girl for months. I struggled day after day to forgive Dean C. Metcalfe, her killer. It took some time, but I forgave him, which lightened my burden. André's remains weren't found for 5 yrs.
in summer, 2008, our niece was abducted by her ex, in front of their little boys, & her mother. When Jessie's dad got home, her ex taunted him from the woods, trying to get him to come out. Jessie told her dad not to because Dan was planning on killing him. Before the night was throug, Dan executed my Jessie, point blank with a shotgun…their son's 3rd birthday. The other son was 7. The police came to the door the following morning to tell us they found Dan, dead by suicide. My other friend's sister was abducted, hog tied, thrown in a trunk of a car, & set on fire. Just a month ago, a girl I considered to be my other daughter, was murdered when her ex poured kerosene on her & lit her on fire. He's in prison now, but who knows for how, long. Hopefully, the rest of his days. He needs to pay for this horrible crime. These are just a few tragedies my family & I have experienced in the past 20 yrs. it's been difficult, but I forgave every perpetrator,of evil. It sounds strange to the world but if we don't forgive others, how,can God forgive us for our sins??? God is a loving, merciful God. If you're patient, some good will come from the bad. A children's center was opened in Andre's name, & so on. Read scripture on forgiveness to help you to forgive those who've wronged you & your loved ones. It'll lift your burdens & Jesus will always be there for you!

  7. There are still many Mr Watts today sitting on a dozen different pews all over the place in the church, satan simply hates the truth. Power of forgiveness is what very christian must seek on a daily basis, otherwise the tormentor might make heaven while the tormented goes to hell, frightening indeed. We must carry our cross on a daily basis. Powerful testimony.

  8. CBN has always been not much more than Christian jargon and schtick put together in a schmaltzy melodramatic presentation for what the presenters “feel” is Christianity. A dead letter, no power of God in it and from the beginning I have never supported it. I have known the Lord for 43 years . Pat Robertson has made merchandise of God’s people and is a millionaire from the profits. Jesus had no place to lay His head. Difference?

  9. What is it with North Carolina? My 90 year old grandmother has changed churches so many times it is nuts! She won't like a preacher and will take half the congregation with her (they are all family, too, blood relatives) and leave the other half fighting one another, and she has gone so far as to found her own churches. One preacher she got rid of because he had a mustache. No kidding. One preacher she ditched because she didn't like a joke he told when he was having Sunday dinner with us, and it was just a joke about how sometimes when God sends help you don't recognize it as what it is. Basically a God helps those who help themselves kind of stories. I guess when I laughed and Grandma didn't find it funny the preacher was not long for that congregation. My grandmother has NO sense of humor. And I am pretty sure she hates every breath I draw. Too many people are getting caught up in the wars, and not the spreading of the Word.

  10. I’m glad she found it in her heart to forgive this man. I would have given up my job and position rather than put up with a stalker who was bombing the family home. The man ran the town and clearly the police department. We have to look at the history of that era. Women were expected to stay married to abusers. Police blamed victims. Families suffered in silence. Murderers got no time. He should have been tried for 1st degree murder. The murders were premeditated. Such a sad story. Talk about childhood PTSD.

  11. It is amazing to me how this man as allowed to go and be a part of the congregation. It flies in the face of the book of 1st and 2 nd Corinthians. (Paraphrasing)…”If someone who calls themselves a Christian and is in sin, you go to him once, twice with another brother. If he does not repent have him removed from the body.” Preachers have to fear God more than men.
The same is happening all over this country in these buildings that have turned into nothing more than moose lodges. They are not the church, people are.
So happy that this girl was able to forgive, and so happy that the man in prison met Christ. So much can be avoided if we would only do ‘church’ Gods way. Read your bibles and as the Holy Spirit to be your teacher and “Do not be unequally yoked”.

  12. Jesus didn't die on the cross so we could live a life of freedom. That's not correct. Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins, so that God will forgive our sins I f we believe that He gave His only Son to die for us. Accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour now.

  13. As hard as it is to understand in the natural relm……All things work together for our good to them that LOVE God and are called according to His purpose. This story proves it. I see the wife as a martyr and the long suffering of the husband and daughter as a previous gift in the sight of God. As Christ layed down His life for His enemy…….so did this family. What a glorious resurection there's will be. I will be lucky to make it by the skin of my teeth.

  14. This story has me so confused . The threw dynamite at their house 10x and was never arrested . Common sense was lacking throughout this entire story . I’m so sorry she lost both her parents but this story is so frustrating !
