  1. i hope and pray that we be careful in everything specially in handling The Word of GOD. Our dear Ptr Peter is preaching from 1 Timothy 2:1-5 BUT the powerpoint heading is 2 Timothy 1:1-2

Just a reminder from a loving brother in Christ.
    GOD bless <3

  2. I completely understand our human nature being inclined towards loving "our nation". However if we apply every "our nation" or "my people" scripture in the bible without remembering to include the words "who are called by your name" then we are practicing eisegesis instead of exegesis.

I myself am an American by birth but I understand Paul's sentiment in the Greek New Testament where his heart goes out to his people has more to do with his people being Israel, and less to do with their national affiliation [apart from God].

I really appreciate the insight I gained from Pastor Peter's message a few months ago when I realized we can not have more than one priority.

My prayer is that our allegiance will be 'only' to the King of all the earth and his heavenly kingdom. Isn't this one of the reasons our brethren in the 1st century were persecuted and put to death: that they claimed allegiance to another king other than Caesar ♡

With that being said, yes I pray for those that have been struck by calamities in the Philippines. But I also pray for those struck by calamities in Japan, China, Australia, U.S. etc. … Though it is not freedom from calamity that I pray; but freedom from sin and "death".

Our Lord promised us that in this life we will have troubles. But he also gave us a reason why we should take heart. And the reason he gave us had 'nothing' to do with any hope that things would get better in this world. But don't take that as an excuse not to love those who are suffering. We are called to extend help to those who are in need of basic sustenance 'first' to those whose national allegiance is to Christ's Kingdom [our brethren], then to those who have an allegiance to other nations.
