SONG LYRICS
Symphony
by Cassidy Estevez, Luke Guevara, Dameon Aranda, Rob Estevez, Louis Biancaniello, and Michael Biancaniello w/ Dillon Chase
V1:
Sometimes it’s hard to breathe
All these thoughts that shout at me
Try to bring me to my knees
And it’s overwhelming
Darkness echoes all around
Feels like everything is crashing down
Still I know where my hope is found
And it’s only You
Pre:
Oooooooh
You say You’re working
Everything for my good, and
Oooooooh
I believe every word
Ch
‘Cause even in the madness
There is peace
Drowning out the voices
all around me
Through all of this chaos
You are writing a symphony
A symphony
And even in the madness
There is peace
Drowning out the voices
all around me
Through all of this chaos
You are writing a symphony
A symphony
V2:
Tune my heart to your beat
Let me be your melody
Even when I cannot see
What you’re orchestrating
Even when the dark surrounds
You’ll never let me drown
I know that my hope is found
In the name of Jesus

I wanna truly know
if you compose
beautiful
music though
from all my unruly notes
The distance is dissonance
move in close
Now I see erased the scales from eyes
Then played the scale of my life
Chaos played off with a chord in accord
With the source prevailing through strife
And I’ve tasted suffering
I’ve been embraced by the painful buffering
I Been bound by doubts so loud right now
But a melody is made when you play these rusty keys
So we all gotta get pressed
Tuned up like instruments
But I know
All of life’s tempo is set
Whenever we remember this

  1. Awesome song! When I heard it, I was glossing over it at the beginning. Then about 20 – 30 seconds later, I was paying attention, 100% This song sneaks up and grabs you. One of my top 10 sons now. a good reminder that when we are going through Chaos, Jesus is there, encouraging us on, and wanting us to get through, focused on Him, and that we will get through.

  3. I hear this song almost every night on my son’s TV that plays Contemporary Christian on Pandora while he sleeps. I fell in love with the song the moment I heard it. It’s is so fitting for the times we are in right now.

  4. Being black in America by faith Thomas
Imagine living in 2020 with everything going on: then think back to about 1984 do things seem different or are they all sadly just another way to keep people living in their little bubble. How should I know , I’ve been living it for 35 years if you’d allow me to explain. From 1984-1992 we had the Rodney king riots we’re living through even more “perilous “ times.
From 1996-2003 i was in a specialized learning program which made it even more difficult bcoz u can’t label what I had as a disability called autism because u didnt see signs ( it’s a learning disability ) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asperger_syndrome since I’m not a athlete by nature ( even though my dad played college football at San Jose state : I have more than enough knowledge with none of the skill ( I have windshield wipers for eyes ).
In late 2002 , I transferred to a performing arts high school for 2 years (graduating in 2004 bcoz a friend who was much like me a social recluse so I naturally stayed to help him out ). in what was supposed to be my freshman of college ( going to west Los Angeles community college) , I went to a community college ( bcoz I sucked at math) getting my associate of arts degree in 2010 : about the same time my sister was being accepted to colleges ( she got into all of them and would’ve gone to Georgetown had it not been for a racist individual who thought that we were there to “drop off a package “ ( we were there to drop her off for a visit . Speaking of scars , when my sister who is a Black woman ( our range of skin tone is different : she’s Nubian and I’m peanut butter ) and our family were visiting colleges one of the selections was Georgetown university in Washington, D.C. ( this was around 2010) when we got there the gate guard asked if my dad was there to drop off “packages” after we had ran slightly late for an in person meeting…well my dad who played football went off on the guard , cussed under his breath and went to the meeting only to tell my mom about said incident and even though she forgave and forgot he never did : she did get into Georgetown but she went to Loyola Marymount bcoz of the incident and it made us all the stronger for it. In 2010, when I started really liking college basketball : the NCAA men’s tournament is ONE OF THE ONLY SPORTING EVENTS U CANT CALL ME DURING (NHL PLAYOFFS, college football, nascar, bull riding and rugby the other . In 2004 after graduating I went to community college and graduated in 2006 , when I started really liking college basketball : the NCAA men’s tournament is ONE OF THE ONLY SPORTING EVENTS U CANT CALL ME DURING (NHL AND BULL RIDING the other 3 ) . then in 2011 , I became a fan of bull riding ( football on a 1000 pound animal) and have been to every professional bull riding event in my hometown of Los Angeles since. Then that same year I became a nascar fan ( lemme be crystal clear : golf and tennis are both recreation: if u can’t get hit I AINT watching it ). What does this have to do with everything now: well not only am I a black female I’m also a sports fan. I know a little confusing but I’ll try and explain , because of my upbringing with having a father that played American football and no brothers I had the genetic upbringing Now in 2020 I’m thankful for the scars it gave me.
