  1. Guys… Platt is a Calvinist. An important part of his soteriology is that from before the foundations of the earth God already decided and chose who would be the “Elect” and who would be elected for hell. So he’s earning a bunch of people who he believes to be doomed from the womb. His warning is rather pointless because Calvinists believe that regeneration precedes faith anyway. So they believe God has already chosen and then regenerates whoever will believe before they do. Shrug. Get past the emotionalism and look to the doctrines.

  4. It is beyond me how he can believe that God chose some people to be saved and most people to be lost before the foundation of the world and then get up and try to convince people to be saved. He believes that the they have no choice. How can he try to convince them otherwise? What's with the crying? If God doesn't love them and created them to go to hell as he believes why should he oppose God's decision? Who is he to oppose God? Who is he to help God if God predestined that person before the foundation of the world. Does he tell people they need to be saved when he believes it is impossible? Does he believe what he believes? There is no good news (gospel) in his messages. What does he rely on for his salvation? Election! which he is not sure of so he falls back on works as proof of his election. Who is he trying to prove his salvation (election) to, men, God, himself? There are many passages in scripture that say salvation is not of works. How much works is enough? Where was the virgin birth, incarnation of God in the flesh, sinless life, crucifixion and shed blood, death, burial, resurrection, salvation by faith in Jesus without works? Salvation is by faith alone in Christ alone, it is the gift of God not of works. Ephesians 2:8-9. He is not consistent in his teachings. This video is not his whole belief and teaching about salvation.

  6. You should not have apologized for prayers over our president .We are told in scripture to pray for those in position of leadership. Why did you cowar down?.Do not cater to those who pressure or coerce just because they hold beliefs different then yours!.You are in swamp land for such a time.Stay close to our Lord.

  19. Why is he so afraid of saying the Word,Hell,why is he so afraid of this word,is it so offensive?will he lose his congregation by using the Word Hell? I think,he is scared to death,of using that most powerful,scary word,few preachers today will ever utter.

  20. What about repentance??? This was a string message that only went half way. We must repent of our sins and be born again! Why so little talk about repentance and turning away from sin and turning to God for His salvation through Christ??? Once again, it was a great Biblical message but without repentance how do we reconcile our sin??

Just happened to click on this and my comment is if you are going to preach that Jesus is coming back as a thief in the night then finish that whole sentence and quit trying to alarm True Believers or fear Monger True Believers because the rest of that passage is clear that he will come back as a thief in the night to unbelievers not to Believers. The Bible clearly points out in Matthew as well as other places he lets Believers know the signs of his coming we will not be the ones caught in the dark in reference to Jesus coming back as a thief in the night. This clip is a good example of why the Bible tells us to trust no man and to search out scriptures on our own. In other words, read the Bible for yourselves.

  24. This is real and it's critical that we don't just glance over this Jesus Christ without having fully investigated the matter with a sincere heart, looking for the honest truth. We may be able to fool one another as we attempt to justify our sins and our rebellion against the one true just and holy God. We can stand among one another shouting blasphemies and cursings, while denying the existence of the God who gave us life; but when we stand face to face with Jesus Christ on that day, after God has shown us such love and deep devotion in that while we were His enemies, He offered His Son as our substitute to cleanse us of the filth we are often so blind to – freeing us from the wrath of God which we rightfully and justly deserve and making the way for as intimate a relationship with the Father God as Jesus Christ Himself had with the Father – and that more perfectly throughout all eternity – we will know full well that we deserve the verdict that's been given. We will see clearly how foolish and disgustingly sinful we really are. We will also know full well how gracious God has been throughout all of our lives and how the sin of the world was the cause of all our suffering, not the God whom we should have turned to and trusted with our very souls. All creation has been witnessing to us in every moment of His existence, power, and glory. His character, justice, love, and grace has been shown vividly in the pages of the biblical text, documented over 1500 years, through 40 different authors, on 3 different continents, in 3 different languages, all telling one unified story and making history known in advance with detailed accuracy.

    We are left without excuse and for those who reject the very God who created them, without even a drop of hope.

    Jesus came with a simple proclamation: Now is the time to repent, turn from the wickedness of this world to God because the new Kingdom, the Kingdom of God, has arrived! Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to God the Father except through Him. There is no other way that we may be saved – it's only in and through the name of Jesus Christ. The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing but to those who are being saved, it is the power of God.

    If God did not even spare His Son, so that His justice would be served, how do we figure He will spare those who reject the gift He's given us in His Son, whom He loved and in whom He was well pleased?

    The only reason God has not condemned us all already is because of His love toward us. He desires everyone to be saved but He will not do it against our will and therefore, He has given us a time of grace that we may turn to Him through Jesus Christ and live.

    There are many actors who are promoting this script. From the Bible base of the Southern Baptist Church as well as Mclean Bible, and 50% of all Evangelicals who are being duped by Michael Emerson, Black Lives Matter and our very own David Platt. Yes, unfortunately David Platt is using his position to influence the election. On these grounds alone, the elders should demand Platt's immediate resignation letter or terminate him immediately, and for supporting the evil organization of Black Lives Matter.

    What I find pathetic, besides trying to influence an election with 15 million Southern Baptists, Platt has shown his utter naivete by embracing the racist theory by the Southern Baptists denomination as made by Michael Emerson's book, "Divided by Faith". And then Platt wants to make the ridiculous argument:
    1. All the Southern Baptists are racists and should repent; therefore
    2. All Evangelical Christians are racists and should repent; and
    2. Therefore, all the US society has numerous systemic racist institutions.

    For most of his life David Platt was indoctrinated as a Social Gospel proponent by his Southern Baptist up-bringing, but since 2017 he is on a personal mission to change all of society of real or perceived evils as a Social Justice Warrior after reading the book, 'Equality Divided by Faith' by Michael Emerson, which he read about 2 years ago. So, Platt and the SBC now support the BLM and he is doing all he can to have the MBC church members & all the Southern Baptists drink the poisonous cool-aid of Systemic Racism which will enable Biden to be elected.

But the authors contend that it is not active racism that prevents evangelicals from recognizing ongoing problems in American society. Instead, it is the evangelical movement's emphasis on individualism, free will, and personal relationships that … perpetuates racial inequality. ] As noted by the authors!!!! [opinion that the foundation of Evangelicalism beliefs creates racism. Very foolish]
    These guys want to state, "evangelicals seem to be preserving a racial chasm". Really? But, they simply point to dumb numbers of whites living in better neighborhoods and that whites go to jail for drugs in far lesser numbers than blacks do for the same crimes. Okay. So, where in this ignorant reasoning is there a shred of any evidence of racism or of systemic racism. There is none! All Emerson does in his book and video is give some disparity numbers. And so, because there are more blacks arrested for drugs, the nation must be racist. And because affluent neighborhoods are mainly white, the nation must be racist. Non sense! This is just an arugument for income equality no matter ones choices, no matter ones life of crime, and no matter ones education or effort to succeed. Its an argument for Communistic Marxism. And Platt buys into this foolishness. I find it amusing and sad how a PHD educated pastor can be such a simpleton and also choose foolishly to be a Social Justice Warrior. (On both counts his mission is not biblical, nor in line with the gospel.

    Conclusion

    David Platt wants to be Robin Hood along with the Progressives and provide material equality in his fight for equality. To this end he is willing to accuse all Christians of Racism and accuse America of systemic racism to accomplish his mission of promoting the Social Liberation Theology Gospel of materialism.

    Platt's Social Gospel must go and so should Platt.

    Unequal is not unequal justice. Unequal proportion is simply numbers of have and have nots.
    There is no evidence of any systemic racism. The author's theory concludes, all people in a society should have the same car, that same job, the same income, etc, and if not, then there exists racism and systemic racism. This is insane thinking with the lack of any real logic.

    What the authors wrongly condemn as a lack of Social Justice, that Platt wants for fight for and have everyone repent of is:
    If blacks are not fully equal in their material possessions, then society owes them as much affluence as anyone else.

    The arguments for Social Inequality by Systemic Racism as argued by Michael Emerson are very weak

    1. Michael Emerson gives his arguments in his book, 'Divided by Faith' (which is only a small survey within the Southern Baptist Church which was built on racism);

    2. Michael Emerson argued his theory to Southern Baptist ministers as shown on Youtube with arguments like 2 + 2 = 17; His conclusions make no real case for racial inequality or racism because his argument simply makes a deduction without any cause. It is the most stupid argument I have ever read. Its totally baseless. And I am to believe that a pastor with a PHD accepted a totally foolish deduction that lacks any reason? Either Platt is as foolish as Emerson, or they are both conspiring to spread lies. Either way, Platt needs to be silenced and ignored for advancing opinion and not facts.

    What does “social justice” mean? To the extent that it is about justice—outputs being aligned with inputs; effect being aligned with cause; reaping reward and punishment in right proportion; proper alignment between humans in regards to what is owed and what is not—it is a wonderful thing. But then it’s justice, and needn’t be modified with the word “social.”
    Though I’m not entirely sure what the term means, it is often used in reference to creating more material equality among people. It implies that material relations between people are unjust, and to bring justice to them requires rewarding some at the expense of others. It aims to make the poor richer by making the rich poorer.

    In other words, it is not really justice at all, as justice is about humans being in right relation to an objective standard of right and wrong that is the same applied to all persons. Social justice is quite the opposite of justice, as it is about a desired relation between individuals against the subjective standard of other individuals. It is not about “where am I in relation to right,” but about “where am I in relation to you.” (Most people don’t put themselves in the equation when talking about social justice. Instead they think, “Where is one group of persons in relation to another group of persons.”)

    Not only is social justice the opposite of justice as properly understood, it is also a purely material concept. Justice is a moral or spiritual concept, which can have material consequences: you have violated a moral law by stealing, so to right yourself with that law you must pay restitution. Social justice is a material concept, which can have moral or spiritual consequences: This person has fewer possessions than that person; therefore we should feel outrage and redistribute goods. In this regard, social justice is a type of human and material idolatry. It makes other humans the standard against which to measure, and material possessions the unit of measurement.

    Conclusion

    David Platt wants to be Robin Hood along with the Progressives and provide material equality.
    To this end he is willing to accuse all Christians of Racism and accuse America of systemic racism to accomplish his mission of promoting the Social Liberation Theology Gospel of materialism.

    He should be voted out of the church and tuned out.

    His Social Gospel must go and so should Platt.

  42. Is Social Justice for today as Platt teaches? Not by using Critical Race Theory / class warfare / power struggles as he teaches. MCDOWELL: Are some of today’s social justice movements coming from “a framework that is not compatible with the Bible” ?
    WILLIAMS: Good question. There are a bunch of ideologies inspiring much of what is called “social justice” today—Neo-Marxism, Critical Race Theory, Postmodern Deconstructionism, Queer Critical Theory, and Gender Theory, to name a few. Let me offer three ways to discern between these ideological versions of justice and biblical justice:

    1. If a view of justice blames all evil on external systems of oppression while ignoring Solomon’s pride-deflating insight that our own hearts are full of evil and moral insanity (Ecclesiastes 9:3) then it is not biblical justice.
    A biblical worldview sees evil not only in “systems,” where we ought to seek justice, but also within the twisted hearts of those who make those systems unjust. Because evil resides in every human heart, all the external activism in the world won’t bring about any lasting justice if we downplay our need for the regenerating, love-infusing work of God through the Gospel.

    2. If a view of justice deconstructs relationships in terms of “power-differentials” and argues that all such hierarchies are evil and must be abolished in the name of “equality” then it is not biblical justice.
    A biblical worldview totally opposes the sinful abuse of power, but sees many hierarchies, like the parent-child, rabbi-disciple, elders-congregation, teacher-student relationships, as part of God’s good design for human flourishing.

    3. If a view of justice interprets all truth, reason, and logic as mere constructs of the oppressive class, if it encourages us to dismiss someone’s viewpoint on the basis of their skin tone or gender, then it is not biblical justice.
    The Greatest Commandment calls people from every ethnicity and gender to love God with our whole minds, which includes the truth-seeking, reasonable, and logical parts of our God-given minds. A mind that loves the Father assesses ideas based on their biblical fidelity, truth-value, and evidence, not the group identity of those articulating it.

    Therefore, there are 2 types of Social Justice. One is man-centered on institutions and the other is centered on God and His power.

    What, then, is the Christian view of social justice? The Bible teaches that God is a God of justice. In fact, “all his ways are justice” (Deuteronomy 32:4). Furthermore, the Bible supports the notion of social justice in which concern and care are shown to the plight of the poor and afflicted (Deuteronomy 10:18; 24:17; 27:19). The Bible often refers to the fatherless, the widow and the sojourner – that is, people who were not able to fend for themselves or had no support system. The nation of Israel was commanded by God to care for society’s less fortunate, and their eventual failure to do so was partly the reason for their judgment and expulsion from the land.

    In Jesus’ Olivet Discourse, He mentions caring for the “least of these” (Matthew 25:40), and in James’ epistle he expounds on the nature of “true religion” (James 1:27). So, if by “social justice” we mean that society has a moral obligation to care for those less fortunate, then that is correct. God knows that, due to the fall, there will be widows, fatherless and sojourners in society, and He made provisions in the old and new covenants to care for these outcasts of society. The model of such behavior is Jesus Himself, who reflected God’s sense of justice by bringing the gospel message to even the outcasts of society.

    However, the Christian notion of social justice is different from the contemporary, secular notion of social justice. The biblical exhortations to care for the poor are more individual than societal. In other words, each Christian is encouraged to do what he can to help the “least of these.” The basis for such biblical commands is found in the second of the greatest commandments—love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:39). Today’s politicized notion of social justice replaces the individual with the government, which, through taxation and other means, redistributes wealth. This policy doesn’t encourage giving out of love, but resentment from those who see their hard-earned wealth being taken away.

    Another difference is that the Christian worldview of social justice doesn’t assume the wealthy are the beneficiaries of ill-gotten gain.

    Basically, there is a tension between a God-centered approach to social justice and a man-centered approach to social justice. The man-centered approach sees the government in the role of savior, bringing in a utopia through government policies. The God-centered approach sees Christ as Savior, bringing heaven to earth when He returns.
    David Platt teaches a man-centered fight for Social Justice which is built on hate, not love.

  43. PLEASE if anyone senses the deadness of the institutional church system but can't put your finger on it. I'm literally pleading with you (whoever you are) to understand something extremely important here. The mainstream Christian system is not of God. The Protestant churches are what the bible calls "The Harlot daughters of Rome". (Rev 17:5) – "Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots, And Abominations Of The Earth." 

    And Jesus Christ is calling His people out of her.

    The very first thing you need to understand is that GOD CAN BE TRUSTED to preserve His word for every generation forever. As He promises us in psalms 12:6-7

    You don’t need men to teach you what God means.

     The first link I left above is from Reg's youtube channel called "Rescuing the Church". There is a lot of good information there on things you should know. Very important and powerful and it dispels many lies. So you can find him there. 
    And Johns channel is also the one associated with the lesson on the 1611. There are a few testimonies, a few sermons, as well as a handful of lessons to be found there.
    John is gracious yet right to the point. And so is Reg. And most importantly they have the Holy Ghost in them. 

    I had prayed for help a long time because I was growing increasingly confused, frustrated, misguided and the list goes on.. But like most of us, I kept returning Sunday after next hoping something would change. If I sang more, prayed harder, tithed more (not biblical to give cash btw, but that’s another topic), got more involved, etc.
    It got to a point where a friend at the time asked me to just "try and sing". He meant well, but it was always disingenuous so I never did. Long story short – my whole Christian life was that way until very recently. Powerless. Its only been about the last 2 years. That's when my life turned upside down. And the Lord truly showed up in a powerful way and began leading me in the trueth.

    I really hope this reaches someone. If this is you… honestly, please go ahead and look. God is rich in mercy and His patience is unmatched. He's been drawing me for a really long time. But I got trapped in the institutional church system and was stuck there being taught corruption for years, by pastors who don't believe that the book they teach from is infallible. They say that it is, but they are dishonest in their claim. And their churches "statements of faith" will attest to this. They almost all say something akin to "we believe the original manuscripts were infallible.”
    Okay well wait a minute… unless they have read the originals in their entirety, then how do these men know when they’re teaching us truth and how do they know when they’re teaching us error? They don’t!
    If they did, why not simply fix the bible they’re using and make it infallible?

    The quest for social justice “focuses on one segment of the population and disregards the interests of others."

    Sowell takes issue with such thinking. He believes it is the actions and policies in search of equal outcomes, along with their results, that need to be judged by an ethical evaluation of justice.

    The Bible Does Not Demand Wealth Redistribution or Equalization
    Progressives most commonly appeal to certain passages as proof that Christianity warrants redistribution or equalization of wealth. None does so. Yet many people still insist that the basic Biblical principle of justice does require redistribution.

    When people speak of social justice, they mean a social order that aims at equality of opportunity or even ofoutcome. But this equality of either opportunity or outcome can
    be achieved only by violating the very criteria of Biblical justice— impartiality, proportionality, desert, and conformity with a righteous standard. Yet, “equality of outcome” is the primary sense in which the Progressive movement has used the term for over a century. This sort of “social justice” necessarily asserts positive rights and leads inexorably to the violation of negative rights. In this sense, “social justice” is really, by Biblical criteria, injustice.
