I guess I'm spiritually dead, since I think this is all BS.
bullshit! We are NOT born of sin
This is a great teaching Pastor Lassman. The thought that our faith is a decision or a work is completely contrary to Scripture. So many Lutheran churches today, treat this as adiaphora. Once a person rejects election, they have to reject the Gospel of John, Romans and Ephesians and unfortunately, Acts 2 and infant baptism. The same life giving Word of God that raised Lazarus from the dead, is that which was given to the Apostles by Jesus, commanding our life giving baptism. Well done.
You are right on! Thanks for your encouraging words………and the Lord be with you!
many are spiritually dead because of the bible belt church, consistently casting judgment, with them and their hypocrisy.
what? to be spiritually dead means to live for yourself instead of for God………..this is why people need to be born again by the Holy Spirit by God's grace through faith in Jesus………In Jesus Christ people are spiritually alive……….and begin to live for God………though imperfectly…….
Just one comment – just as a person cannot assist in his own physical birth, he likewise cannot assist in his own spiritual birth. We don't believe or exercise faith to become born spiritually but rather we believe and exercise faith because we have been born spiritually. Belief is the result and evidence of having been born again.
Well now i think i have seen it all…If you think you can convince someone of their spiritual death then this video of a spiritually dead person speaking of spiritual death should change your mind very fast.
and this is why
Matthew 13:11 He replied, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.
God u made this simple , Wow thank you …wish I was taught by Lutheran teaching thru man like him…

I agree with this teaching, so I must reject infant baptism .
