Pastor Greg, have you ever thought of going to juvenile jails or schools and telling those kids your story and how much Jesus loves them. So many kids that need to know they are loved.
It's always good to bring a gun to make a point.

Incredible story Pastor Greg. I could envision sitting on the bed beside my own grandfather as you told this! My teen years were turbulent too, unfortunately my choices were much different. What's important though is that when we finally come to the end of "us" or "me" Christ will still be there to take our hand and lead us to the Father if we let Him!

Let me tell you a story in NOV 1970 when fist stepping on to the soil of
Vietnam I remember at the age of 16 what I felt, and that feeling was fear.
FEAR Because of Walter Cronkite announcing how many of us were dying each day. After about
the third night of restless sleep. I laid down and remember before sleeping I
prayed for relief. That night I had the dream of seeing myself really, really OLD.
When I woke up the next morning there
was no more fear, and I wasn’t quite sure why. It wasn’t until after the war
that I realized what had happened. See after the war I was lost in drugs. I didn’t
understand why my best friends were all dead people that I had served with and
why it was so hard to make new friends. So instead of dealing with it I drugged
out, because that is what I had learn while in Vietnam. So on an early out
offer of . Jan 23 1973, I got out. Got Out and started taking prescribed meds
can percaDan and Percocet. Today’s oxicodone.
Then there was the heroine which became the drug of my choice. Once I had no
fear it became so easy to do.
