Christians hear his voice and follow the good shepherd. They know they are the true Israel of God in Christ, blessed and made holy through the blood of the Lamb. They do not care about what is going on in the fake nation claiming to be the Israel of the bible they read.

greater proportion were of Jewish blood, though not natives of the place.
Having assembled from the whole country for the feast of unleavened
bread, they were suddenly hemmed in by the war. On this occasion the
whole nation had been shut up as in a prison, by fate; and the war
encircled the city when it was crowded with, men.' (12) A more exact
verification of our Lord's prediction (Luke xxi. 35) it is impossible to
conceive.

We are not in the last days. The last days were the last days of Old Covenant Israel, destroyed in 70AD. Without a temple, as Jesus predicted it would be totally destroyed, the SON was finally vindicated by the Father. The Jews were proven wrong about Christ, and God destroyed that SYSTEM OF ANTICHRIST, and moved on with his NEW NATION, THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST.
The religion became a priestless ,templeless religion, sanctioned by no one, except the rabbis, which invented a new judaism, based on their own precepts and principles, and was never sanctioned by God. The rabbis took the authority God only gave to the Levite tribe, and therefore todays judaism is a fraud and deception, never authorized by God, or has anything to do with Moses. Therefore everything we are being taught today from the pulpits about Judaism and Israel, is nothng but a lie and deception, based on the false assumption that the religion of today has still the same standing in Gods eyes, as the followers of Christ. God does not have two valid religions ,and totally opposed to each other. God has one faith, and that other one is just as invalid as the Budhism or Islam that Hal likes to harp about.
Revelation was written 1950 years ago. Ever since, deluded men have been trying to decipher it and in their efforts come up with the strangest notions and ideas. It was never meant to be read as prophecy for every generation in history. It was a warning given to the EARLY CHURCH, about things that would SOON HAPPEN . AND THEY DID HAPPEN WITHIN A FEW SHORT YEARS, not still to be coming 1950 years later. Revelation 1:1 is the key to the mystery . Jesus said "shortly" and he meant shortly. OTHERWISE HE IS A DECEIVER OF HIS OWN CHURCH!
These things were meant for that early church undergoing persecution from both Rome, and Jerusalem, who were collaborating together to stamp out the hated Nazarene sect, spreading like wildfire throughout the ROMAN WORLD.
