That…was not…a good day. Whew!
It wasn’t a day of mourning- it’s a day of rejoicing for our souls. Not all who stood and listened to Jesus were followers. Jesus died for the remission of sin. He did not die- he lives. Bless you
Thank you and God bless you Pastor Wesley!
Wow, wow, wow, what a word! Thank you so much for that amazing word Pastor Wesley! God bless and keep you
A beautiful message God bless.
That was really something for me to reflect on. Welcome back, Pastor Wesley.
This was simply and amazing much needed Word. Thank you God for sending this message through Pastor Wesley.
What a good word.
Thank you pastor Wesley and your church family for sharing God word with us. Huntsville Alabama.
Thank you so much for opening up to me – my grandmother was my best friend. Seeing someone so always Strong in the Lord. After Hurricane Sandy in NJ for the first time, her health went down. My mom became the caregiver and I helped care for her. Watching her pray as she was deteriorating was tougher than tough. But God provided us the strength He gave my grandmother. So Thank you for the Word. Reiterating, it's WHO! Praise God. Thank you, your family, and church. Amen
Your authenticity and genuineness are so real as to be captivating. Bless you my brother as you emerge from your sabbatical an even more effective communicator of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May God be glorified in and through your life and service.
Amen. Thank you.
Amen! God will help us with our cross!
What a Word!! God bless
God please give me the strength to stand near the crosses in my front of me.
Powerful and much needed word during this unprecedented and difficult time. Thank you Pastor Wesley.
I feel your pain pastor. I lost my sister to covid 19. It's the hardest thing anyone can go through at such a time as this. There is no closure! I felt helpless just not being able to hold her hand on her last nor attend her funeral. It was not a good day when she died. And it was not a good day when our saviour died on that cross for our sins. The only hope we have is that one day we will see our loved ones again and be with our saviour! God bless you.
PRAISE BE TO GOD
O
Oh what a blessing this week's sermons have been! I've loved each message — from Palm Sunday through today and loo forward to Saturday. I'll never see Easter in the same light again… and that's a wonderful thing. Thank you Alfred Street!!
God bless you Pastor
Powerful message! Lost a loved one due to COVD19. Listening to this message dried my tears. "Not how, but Who". Thank you my long distance Pastor. God Bless you!
Amen
Rev. Wesley, you are a breathtakingly talented, profoundly powerful teacher / preacher / minister. I am SO grateful for the on-line ministry of Alfred Street.
Thank you Dr. Howard John Wesley!
He is right. Cancer is a terrible death. My grandfather died of metastatic lung cancer when I was a little girl. Still makes me cry.
POWERFUL!
NOT HOW! BUT WHO!
GLORY!!!
This message was truly amazing! I praise God for the insightful way he uses you to bring the word to life!
Thank's for this word, Glad to see you back.
Amen. Standing near the cross. Thank you for this moving and encouraging word, Doc and glad to have you back. God bless and keep you. -Bryan
Wow!
Wow our fathers died the same year and the same month just different days. I feel your pain I too am a preacher's kid watched my father suffer and die. It ain't easy.
You are so right and New Year is not on January so I understand it is in March, nothing but lies ,we have to study and pray.
Wow! I needed that especially with experiencing the death of my aunt 2 days ago due to COVID-19. That really hit home for me.
Powerful. Thank you.
Believe it or not some of our houses of worship have been closed for the Lord's business 40-50 years ago when they turned their backs on the Holy Scriptures. Most of them just got the memo a few Sundays ago from the government.
Sunday's Best, Preacher's of LA, Detroit and all of the rest. Not only has the Church had to sit by, while this madness was going on, God's was watching.
Our Lord has had His fill of Sunday's Best pulpit's and The 'Flesh Show"production we call praise and worship is a stench in His Holy nostrils. At the same time we won't tell them the truth about "covenant" marriage, divorce and remarriage, and sin in all of its manifestations along with His biblical order in His Church.
Laughing and grinning like a "Cheshire" cat when we address what He hates and loves, while in His Holy presence.
Israel as a nation was ignorant of the first coming of our Lord. However the remnant wasn't. If you think I'm making it up ask Simeon Luke 2:25-35, ask Anna verses 36-38 and there were others who looked for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ as the prophets had spoken.
However John the Baptist described their leaders and our Lord Jesus did so also in Matthew 23. These men weren't saved yet they were their leaders and that's why they wouldn't tell the whole truth and stay in church. They didn't want to offend anyone by the truth because they couldn't handle the truth themselves.
The Lord Jesus Christ is about to return for His Church and then afterwards judge this world by righteousness.
The world needs to hear the Cry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Church we need to feed "Him" to His Church. Search the Scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life; and they are they which testify of Me John 5;39.
We do not need life coaches for pastors, we need overseers. Will someone please open the book for us!
There's been too much playing with our spiritual "food"in His assembly, too much handling the Holy Scriptures like it's a "common" thing in His sight.
The worship hour is not Saturday night at the Apollo nor is His House Comedy central. Where are the men of old who would stand flat footed and cry loud and spare not.
God's House is out of order on our watch. We don't even subscribe to what our forefather's believed once upon a time under their brush arbor gatherings of old. Yet we have the nerve every year to include their humble beginnings in our church history.
Turn to your neighbor (I don't want to turn to my neighbor), high 5 your neighbor (I don't want to high 5 my neighbor), now we can't. We seem to catch anything that comes by that sounds good. How did we get here?
We need to beg God for forgiveness and I will lead the way.
Forgive me Father for not praying enough, studying enough, forgive me for not living by faith unto obedience of Your Word, walking in love as I am loved by You.
Forgive me for being cute, when all I needed to do was just "tell" the truth and stay in Church.
Forgive me for thinking You can't get the job done without me!
Forgive me for using You to get in front of Your people and then make it all about me.
Forgive me Lord, for I have sinned.
Wow Pastor. What a real and relevant word. Bless you and thank you.
When we don't what to do how to pray it that tree of strange fruit and now we sit still and wait and see the Salvation of our God
Thank you for this message, Pastor Wesley.
Amen
Wow it's good to see how close real families are. I didnt feel this way when my dad died at my age of 14. You guys show me what it's like to have this kind of love. Thanks
Great word.
Revelation 5:7 At once the lamb(Jesus) came forward and took the scroll out of the right hand of the One seated on the throne(God). Matthew 11: 25 Jesus said in response: “I publicly praise you, FATHER, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intellectual ones and have revealed them to young children. 26 Yes, O FATHER, because this is the way you approved.
Matthew 15: 13 In reply Jesus said: “Every plant that my heavenly FATHER did not plant will be uprooted. 14 Let them be. Blind guides is what they are. If, then, a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” 16 At this he said: “Are you also still without understanding?
John 4: 19 The woman said to him: “Sir, I see that you are a prophet. 20 Our forefathers worshipped on this mountain, but you people say that in Jerusalem is the place where people must worship.” 21 Jesus said to her: “Believe me, woman, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the FATHER.
Thank you!
