I pray Father, that you clothe JD, my beloved brother, his family, and ministry in your glorious Holy Spirit. To protect and care for them, to strengthen their hearts and minds to overcome anything.   13. Pastor J.D., I'm taking the bait 🙂 I stopped your video after verse 10 because a foot note in my bible caught my eye. The footnote refers back to Judges 9:4-6. I read from vss 1-21…vs 16-20 are of specific interest..

  29. Expositional & EXCEPTIONAL teaching from Proverbs. I was and am inspired. I loved the door and hinges analogy. I have known a lot of "Sunday Christians" who only swing open on their hinges from 9 until 12 on Sunday and then the door closes behind them. I loved this message.

  36. This may help Pastor. I call people who are out to get your goat, Trolls. Don’t feed the trolls. If you engage in conversation with a troll they are feeding. Makes it so much easier for me. I see them as a troll & all of a sudden they become invisible to me.

  37. Verse 10 makes no sense in the King James but does in other translations. The word ‘God’ was italicized & so was the word ‘things’. This is Young’s: 10 Great [is] the Former of all, And He is rewarding a fool, And is rewarding transgressors.

  38. Verse 10 means to me, God gives the fool and transgressors their reward on Earth but if they don't repent they won't have their eternal reward. Like in other verse God cause it to rain on both the just and unjust.

  39. This is Avery hurtful video for me. Being disabled and made to be an old man since the age of 42, (I’m now 60). It makes me struggle to accept my position, I’ve almost come to taking my own life through low self esteem and the overwhelming feeling of worthlessness. Yet jd tells us it’s idleness, or he does to my hurt soul. He talks about other things we need to be doing to be worthy. Yet I thought he was an advocate for wsas.
    Was I wrong?? It’s hurt me to the core and set me back so far that I don’t feel I can ever find my salvation!!
    Love to all though at the moment I feel numb.

  44. I paused the video on verse 10 and sat in thought for a bit. I interpreted it as if the fool is given the chance to see the works of God before being condemned because of his ignorance. But being a transgressor, meaning overstepping the law of God knowingly (sin), they must be dealt wages (like death on the cross) in order to be forgiven.
    Great sermon by the way!
