Pastor Jim Staley examines the weekly Torah portion Ki Tetze. You will hear the interpretation of the commandments from chapter 21 of the Book of Deuteronomy. After listening to this teaching, you will see that the very Torah, which we are all accustomed to consider obsolete, old and irrelevant, is, in fact, the most actual Book, the most vital Word! It is not surprising that the author of the Second Epistle to Timothy writes, in the third chapter, sixteenth verse: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” And when it was written, there was only one “Scripture” ─ what many call the “Old Testament”.

  6. Pastor Jim thank you from the bottom of my heart for this teaching – the "free" part especially. This is so very timely for me. I've been on a roller coaster ride this last 12 months – of revelation, repentance, rededication, and then back to being attacked and feeling hurt and rejected – over and over. But now my spirit has truly woken up and I can clearly see so many areas in my life especially this last year where I've been on a backward slide in my faith and the wrong seeds have gotten into my heart. This time it's different. This time I understand what it's all been about. What a wonderful fresh revelation! So I thank you Ps Jim for such a powerful enlightenment. I have only 5 days left in this month of Elul to get myself right before Yom Teruah. I'm now doing what I know I need to do – every day praying, reading the Word, repenting, and seeking Him. Fasting starts now. Oh I'm excited and determined and encouraged and equipped like I haven't been for a very long time. Thank you so much for your life-saving teaching. YHVH bless you more and more Amen.
