    Take Charge of Your Life – Jim Rohn

    ​A common issue for people is they don’t have time. As Jim Rohn says, “reasonable time is enough time to achieve your goals”. The thing with people with the ‘I don’t have time’ mindset is they do not make goals. They live life as if it’s a constant 9-5 punch in clock. Work when I’m told to, relax and lose focus when I’m not working. Life is not just the passing of time. When you make goals, it pushes you to live to your potential. Strive for your potential. How can you strive for your potential? Write down your goals, prioritize your goals and review them constantly. Life gives you personal dignity, which in turn gives you the option of choices. The choice should be simple; putting your all into your goals. This also mean not listening to others on their expectations. Set your own and reach them.
    ​Successful people realize the importance of setting goals, but also understand how to separate work from play. When it’s family time, enjoy the experience. When it’s work time, enjoy the experience. If you mix the two, both will be negatively affected. Successful people work smarter not harder, by using effective time management. With these strategies, you avoid the common issue of your work running you into the ground. You must take control of your goals and strategies when you pursue those goals. This is the epitome of “work smarter, not harder”. Taking control applies to your health, time and resources. You must be flexible and have the ability to impose taking charge on yourself. It’s not the hours you put in, it’s what you put in to those hours, and it’s crucial to identify what is important to put time into and what is not.
    ​Lastly, successful people who know how to take control understand the difference between major and minor conversations. If a conversation is minor, make it brief and don’t stress on it. You don’t want to put major energy and effort in minor things. When conversations are major, take notes and have a clear agenda before making a major call. If a conversation is major and you have no agenda, you will look incompetent. Incompetence will mean you are behind the curve and not worthy of being worked with. If someone tries to push minor things on you, learn to say no. Saying yes to everything will eventually overwhelm and overwork you. Be gracious if it’s a no that can change, but taking everything on just to stay busy will be your wrongdoing. Don’t mistake all movement as an achievement, and if you feel you’re at this point, ask yourself as busy as I am, what am I doing? If you can’t come to an adequate answer, review your goals and prioritize accordingly. Understand your options, understand your choices and take control of your life!

  12. I'm not a fan of "taking the high road" when your life is threatened. You have to be connected to your intuition that senses danger. Don't take the high road when your intuition is flashing red light DANGER DANGER.

    I don't know how to thank you for your wonderful messages. I cant explain to you how it meant to me in this hour of suffering. I and my family had been cheated from somebody and took all our money and we were nothing left with. We had to borrow money for our requirements and later that too is become liability for us. People are asking money from whom we took.we are really not in a position to face the situation and how to move on. Joel your messages gives us the courage to move on. May be God is planting us to grow. I believe in God and I know He will bless us. Thank you Joel you are giving millions of people hope to live on.

    haha until i open my bold big mouth.. I'm jumping 7 years research studies hardest thing I've ever worked for .i doubt me every day .i ask God Father do you doubt me ..he chuckles and says not one bit. Hallelujah
