At Passion City Church, we believe that because God has displayed the ultimate sacrifice in Jesus, our response to that in worship must be extravagant. It is our privilege, and our created purpose, to reflect God’s Glory to Him through our praise, our sacrifice, and our song.

  1. I just love how God loved me the I way couldn't imagine. From His holiness He came down for me to saved me and promised eternal life. This Christmas is so different since my mind was opened. Thank you God! You deserved all! Amen!

  2. Me too! I am an older woman & have heard the Christmas story but Jackie gave me insight that I have never had. She showed me the stark contrast between a holy untouchable God & that God that was willing to be touched from the manger to the cross & Thomas was even able to touch his nail scarred hands!! I am speechless !!!

  3. According to our apostle paul’s ministry in The King James Bible,we are only saved by believing The Gospel of Jesus Christ,1st Corinthians Chapter 15 verse 1-4.Jesus Christ died on the cross, spilled His Blood for all of our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day.Jesus Christ Spilled Blood is what saves you when you believe this plan of salvation with your heart.

  4. AWESOME!!!! Jackie Hill Perry, what a truly strong, powerful message. I am watching this a day later in South Africa and I want to tell everyone I know to watch your sermon, to truly "get" what HOLY is. Be blessed and may your Spirit-sparked words reach far and wide. Thank you, too, for the worship team, who breathed new Spirit-filled life into old words and made them fresh again- Our God is beyond description. May He bless The Grove. In His Son's Precious Name.

  5. The thing I love about Passion City Church is how open minded it is. They run a conference which draws people from all over the US and they include Hillsong's worship team. More judgemental people might be inclined to leave them out – you know those who take the view that Hillsong shows what lies at its heart by featuring Joel Osteen, Joseph Prince and Creflo Dollar on Hillsong channel. And who believe that every single worship leader and leader at Hillsong knew how Brian Houston preached and that Hillsong supported such people when they signed up. But instead Passion City Church look past all that – they take the view that a good worship song is a good worship song and good musicians are good musicians. I guess it's not presumptuous to imagine that in doing this they are trying to tell us that if we want to grow a church we should have similar priorities.

Hillsong don't have many friends left – but Passion is no fair weather friend – they believe in sticking by people.

It simply isn't possible to obey this verse:
    2 John vv10-11:
If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works.

    and this one:
    It's Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

It's a no brainer which one to choose.

And who cares if Bethel church preach a kind of mushy supernatural generosity instead of holiness, justice, mercy and grace? What's the difference when it comes down to it? It's Pharisaical to split hairs over minor details.

So three cheers for Passion City Church – for their choosing to look for the best in everyone. And for recognising just how potent talented good looking performers can be in "spreading the gospel". It seems right to think of them as the Turkey of Christendom (Turkey is where Europe meets Asia) – the point at which orthodox faith meets heresy. It just goes to show that it is possible to be mates with John Piper and Hillsong and Bethel at the same time.
