41:53 “When you see a man or a woman you are seeing the only living creature made in the image of God and therefore you are seeing an image bearer. To see humanity then is to see nothing other than the likeness of God.”
– Owen Strachan
1:24:51 “So, all people, even sinners, fallen sinners, are fully human the image of God; but what needs to be what needs to happen is that we need to be remade in the image of Christ, the true human. You see, in Adam, we are fully human but it is only in Christ that we will be truly human. Christ is the is the image of God”
– Owen Strachan
Enjoying the lecture series. Could you post a link to the course notes?
These are good. Thank you!
Jesus Christ is The Lord, King, The Creator God, The Second Person Deity of The Trinity, Jesus Christ is The Infinite Upgrade of what adam was….
Thank for the clear studies on anthropology
As a Christian woman, I wanted to let you know I am thoroughly enjoying this series. Its poignant implications and insights touch a reflective part of my experience that is ripe for my own relational pray towards obtaining the discernment I need. Not sure if a lot of women respond to this or not; you touch on some things from what could be considered in this day and age as quite controversial from a feminist pov (but it's really not if one delves into the unique and beautiful design of what it means to be not only human- but the specific beautiful and intentional role of God granted gender.) Hope that makes sense. Quick question on Christ's resurrected body…did His bodily wounds change after his ascension? I never thought they would have, but something said towards the end of this episode about glorified bodies made this question (trite as it might seem) pop into my head.
We are the image as a reflection, Christ is the image that is reflected
