Master’s Seminary | – John MacArthur on Recent "Religion" Poll
A recent Pew Research poll suggests that those individuals identifying themselves as “religious” are on the downward slide. Dr. John MacArthur responds with helpful insights into why that may be so and whether it reflects numbers within the true church.

i love this guy – he fears God but nothing & nobody else…
Amen!!
This man makes no apologies for standing for the Truth.
What a blessing it is to benefit from his teachings.
Hmmm, but he ignored the fact that the 7% drop came FROM Christianity both catholic and protestant in the US (and is following that trend in all industrial nations). As for 'every other religion is false except my own' – it is that type of illogic and arrogance that people, especially the young, reject. Give it 50 years and religion will have basically petered out in industrialised nations.
It is a blessing having JM as my internet pastor. I have learned much from his teaching. May the Lord continue blessing him.
Amen Amen Amen
That's good news
Of Islam and 'other religions' that are not Christian, MacArthur said, "These don't change the soul; these don't answer the cry of the heart, because they're not true religions. They're the counterfeit that the enemy of men's souls develops." MacArthur continued, "False religion is just the general category of things that aren't true. I mean, you can talk about Scientology… You can talk about cults…" So, though MacArthur despises the "strange fire" (IE. "false religion") of many Charismatic churches, he declined to mention that and put "false religion" only on 'non-Christian religions'. He gave his own definition of false religion rather than God's definition.
I've liked hundreds of YT videos and have only disliked a handful– maybe about five– because I prefer to agree than to disagree. But I had to dislike this video. "False religion" is not 'other religions and maybe a few Christians'. The Bible says, "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world" (Jas. 1:27) and from OT to NT defines and exposes false religion to be any worship of or approach towards God that is done a person's way or/and not done God's way. MacArthur knows this but declines to acknowledge it, placing himself in the box with those who "having a form of godliness deny the power thereof" (2Tim. 3:5) which is the sum definition of false religion. MacArthur is old and has been ministering for a long time; therefore, he has no excuse or reason for changing the biblical definition of "false religion" (and true religion) to fit his own [Calvinistic] beliefs. Changing God's ways is itself "false religion", and making one's own beliefs above biblical truth is itself "strange fire".
John MacArthur, you are in for a rude awakening….Ken Wilber you are not.
Religion is not a good thing ..christians know thus from the begining religion is from man not God
How many truly know God.
