  1. I took courses entitled "Expository Preaching," but it was false; the "Northern Baptist Lloyd Perry method is topical with some exposition. It focuses on a propostion, asks a question of the prop & uses keywords for the main points — but is it not exposition = having the sermon follow the contours of the passage.

  2. Who is inspired by Nehemiah 8:8: "And they read in the book, in the law of God, distinctly; and they gave the sense, so that they understood the reading." This is different from focusing on giving a Congregation advice on what they should do.

  3. The gospel must be preached attractively before the poor will have the gospel preached unto them. Why, there is no attraction in the gospel to the great mass of our race, as it is currently preached. I confess that when I have a violent headache, and cannot sleep, I could almost wish for some droning minister to preach to me; I feel certain I could go to sleep then, for I have heard some under the soporific influence of whose eloquence I could most comfortably snore. But it is not at all likely that the poor will ever go to hear such preachers as these. If they are preached to in fine terms—in grandiloquent language which they cannot lay hold of—the poor will not have the gospel preached to them, for they will not go to hear it. They must have something attractive to them; we must preach as Christ did; we must tell anecdotes, and stories, and parables, as he did; we must come down and make the gospel attractive. The reason why the old puritan preachers could get congregations was this—they did not give their hearers dry theology; they illustrated it; they had an anecdote from this and a quaint passage from that classic author; here a verse of poetry; here and there even a quip or pun—a thing which now-a-days is a sin above all sins, but which was constantly committed by these preachers, whom I have ever esteemed as the patterns of pulpit eloquence. Christ Jesus was an attractive preacher; he sought above all means to set the pearl in a frame of gold, that it might attract the attention of the people. He was not willing to place himself in a parish church, and preach to a large congregation of thirteen and a-half, like our good brethren in the city, but would preach in such a style that people felt they must go to hear him. Charles H. Spurgeon from the sermon "Preaching to the Poor."

  4. Today we make chapter and verses very important, Jesus was tempted by the devil, he resisted by just saying it is written, he didn’t say chapter xyz verse 1… . I can have the entire bible in my head just listen to the audio bible three or four times through the entire book in a year. I can say it’s written, but I reject the discussion, where is it written, I say it is written, that’s enough for me. In time of google you can search God love the world… just google it, you find your chapter and verse, but I will always say it is written, I reject Chapter and Verses, it makes me more important then I am, by showing off how good I know all chapters and verses. I always had a problem keeping chapters and verses. If you preach yes Chapters and Verses are good to know you can prepare them to have the audiences find them but other than that I keep it like Jesus said: IT IS WRITTEN!

You don’t need to visit a seminary to preach the gospel, just testify who Jesus is and what he did for you and the world, if you have the chance. But if you want to become a Pastor, yes, I think it’s a good option, if you have the money and time to sign up for such a Seminar like The Masters Seminary. But don’t idolize the teachers, learn from them and grab the baton take it with you and when it’s time hand it over to the next. It’s a healthy way to keep the truth alive until Jesus returns.

  5. Okay, everything he says is EXACTLY how I preach, which is great, but I swear, the place I live, NO ONE accepts this. They say, "Let the Lord lead you, and do away with notes!"

I need to move, I guess.

  6. Hello sir. I am a currently teaching a small bible college in the philippines historically connected with the american baptist convention. I came across your vlog and i find it very helpful. May i say i would mention and refer to you in my class. Tnx

  7. If you carefully read the book of Acts, there is clearly a focus of spirit filled ministry. Futhermore, there was no sense that the Gospel could be preach with out demonstrations of power. Cessasionists always try to run away from the biblical text and apply materialistic criteria.

  8. Dr. Lawson testimony is a great encouragement to the power of God to change our hearts and minds. Thank you for this wonderful transparency and the proof of the power of our God to bring hope and change to our lives.

  9. Very few eligible for heaven
according to Linda Rika who reports that three preachers out of five
million people were eligible for heaven on the day she saw The Lord Jesus the
Christ. I beg you to pray and ask God.
The Lord says this is his movement.
You must ask the Lord.  They pray
five to ten hours in a Korean church service.
In a dream I’m teaching a class in Virginia, “The Lord recommends a
twelve hour prayer.”  I warned Obama
about the Moore, Oklahoma second tornado.
It arrived seven days later than the first as The Lord warned in a
dream.  Deuteronomy 13:1.  I do not speak for money.  I prayed five hours one day and ten hours the
next day.  I reached out and grabbed The
Lord’s feet.  He’s a Living God.  He says tell you so that you can seek him
out.  Many people pray to someone but not
to him.  Many are called but few are
chosen.  My mother is a church going 82
year old.  In a dream, I see her die in
her pants.  She refuses to change.  I prophesy against my mother.  The Lord told me to tell you his preachers
speak the Holy Bible, KJV, only, word for word, only, his word, only.  We must follow the Bible the same way or not
his people.  The Lord can change his
mind.  Read Jonah.  Linda and Paul Rika are his people.  I don’t claim to know what God knows, only,
what he tells me.   Paul is his preacher.  In two dreams, The Lord approves as I watch
Paul preach in his video message.  When I
saw Linda’s first video, The Lord said “you must speak my word.”  Three times the same night, The Lord said, “I
put a woman in Hell for wearing pants, only.”
Three times the same night, “A lot of people say they hear from me you
tell people you hear from me.  Guarantee
    what you say.”  Matthew 22:8, 11-13,  Deuteronomy 22:5, 2nd Kings 9:30-37, Zephaniah
1:8 and Isaiah 3:16-24.  All mean what
they say.  Ask God, please.   The preacher either works for The Lord or
the devil, no in between.  Do not miss
heaven.  Lord am I eligible for
heaven?   In the dream, Ask Lord is it
you?  The devil will also give you a
    dream.  Thanks.

  10. Brother Lawson, may my words reach you as I truly seek discipleship and recently left a body of believers that I feel burdened for because of leadership issues, and sola scriptura sadly was not their methodology. I am greatly stirred up and feel like I may burst. I have begun to make some videos on this YouTube page, and seek men to test me and weight me and I have had some confirmation, burning christlikeness, and overwhelming compulsion. I am in my mid 40's and I know that all the Lord has ordained in my life is for His purposes. I have been greatly studied via the internet and thru ministries like Ligonier for 5 years since Christ rose me from death. I feel like leaving my career and diving head long into ministry full-time. I take personal offense to the heresies of our day, the latest one "beonce' mass", political correctness has removed the spine from many pulpits and men are often times afraid to call spaids spaids and this is to the determent of the sheep. I pray you see this, and you have time to examine the posts I have so far, and may Gods will be done in all things as I know, it always will and I thank you for this video and will watch all of the others, I cannot afford to attend Master's Seminary currently and greatly appreciate this free resource. Trust that I will watch the others and my wife and I thank God for you brother along with a handful of other men we see online who do STAND therefore and speak truths into the face of a very worldly "church". I would add one thing…When did we become a priesthood who put boxes checked on resumes above the unique call which is of the Lord alone, as He qualifies His called and not that He calls the qualified, AMEN? AMen! Blessing & Grace. The fields are ripe for harvesting and there is much work to be done. Soli Deo Gloria. https://youtu.be/87mL3162k5M

  11. I don’t believe I’m being called, or ever will be called to preach. But I am being called to share my hope others and develop these tools. Who knows what the future holds? : )
Either way, I’m excited, hopeful, and a bit scared to be a part of the Kingdom of God. Anyone seeing this, please pray for me.

  12. The mission of the church is to go into all the world and preach the good news of the gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4. That Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that he was buried and rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures.

First John 2:2 That Christ died for the sins of the whole world, and it is Gods will that everyone believe and be saved. First Timothy 2:4.

That John six:47 is Gods word. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me HATH EVERLASTING LIFE. That eternal life is a free gift from God by faith alone in Jesus alone apart from any works. Ephesians 2:8-9

Believers can no longer be condemned. John 3:18.

Romans 4:5-8 But to the one that worketh not, but believe on Him who justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Faith alone apart from works which can not save sinners.

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord imputeth righteousness apart from works.
Blessed is the man whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Jesus paid our sin debt in full, past, present, and future, sins we have not done yet. We can no longer be condemned because of Ephesians 1:13-14 Our guarantee of eternal life to all those who believe on His name of their own free will. John six:40 and John six:29.

First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETRNAL LIFE. Romans 11:six. AMAZING GRACE, JESUS PAID IT ALL AND WE PAID 0. IT IS FREE, or not at all because no man can earn heaven.

  13. I have this strong impulsion to hear and hear and hear the word of God over and over and to memorize bible verses. I came across the gospel last April thru some videos of Ray conmfort. Ever since then I question stuff at church I got into learning all these religions and now is learning doctrine. I get this type of fury when I hear verses put out of context at church or when preachers from outside come to preach. That drives me to learn more. At this point I don’t know what to do with these information when I do have it all in paper. I love sharing the gospel and also feel driven to go out and wanting to share it. I can’t wait for this cold to leave so I can go outside and share. I’m unsure if it’s what they call first love or if it’s a calling. In the mean while I’m going to finish watching all these videos, equip myself and keep sharing gospel. God bless
