Michael Todd | – The Devil Made Me Do It // Was It The Devil? // The Paradox of Purpose // Charles Metcalf

In the third week of our new series, The Paradox of Purpose we learned that we often blame the devil for things that we should take ownership of. Pastor Charles taught us about deferred responsibility which is the act of placing ownership of one’s attitude, circumstance or life on another person. It’s not always the devil, sometimes we are distracted, emotional, vulnerable, irresponsible or lazy. Make sure and check out this message and share it with someone who needs to hear it!

Join us for service online every Sunday at 11am (CST) and on Monday’s for Monday Night Prayer at 6pm (CST).

  1. Peace be with you,
In the day of judgement, the Christian and Muslim will standup for trial. This is a snapshot of the trial.

And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah?'" He will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. It is You who has absolute knowledge of the unseen.
    (The Quran 05:116)

Christian friend's core belief is that Jesus is God yet they dont have one verse where Jesus says I am God worship me. God had all the time to write stories after stories but didnt have the time to say I am God worship me.

  2. I absolutely love this series but sometimes I can’t watch live on Sundays so when I come to watch whenever I can it’s really distracting to have to watch 5+ ads while I’m really just trying to take in God’s word. It seems excessive to me. Can someone explain why every video is like this? I understand monetizing…but why like this?

  3. Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening Transformation Nation. My name is Siphesihle Khumalo, I am from a small country in Africa called Eswatini(Swaziland)

The country is currently under a protest that challenges the King to give his executive powers to the people as he is an absolute monarch. Due to this protest, the authorities of the country have unleashed the forces on the unarmed civilians. Forcing people out of their homes and randomly shooting people for reasons known to them.

Currently the government has ordered a complete internet shutdown. Yes a shutdown of the internet and this is mainly to avoid communication with the international community.

I write this to help us raise awareness as the International organisations don't understand the depth of this. The authorities are basically lying to the International media or understating facts

  4. I definitely blame my laziness, procrastination and lack of desire on the devil and it’s me. I take full responsibility and I’m tired of allowing the Spirit of Laziness and Heaviness to dwell within me any longer. It’s time to prioritize and discipline myself. Praise God for He is ALWAYS on time and ALWAYS GOOD!

  5. This message is full of loving conviction. Thank you for loving me enough God to send this message. This series is a paradox, you don't want it but you seriously need it. Practicality is overlooked in the face of religion. Pray but be practical. I will continue to come back to this series.

  6. I get his point but he needs to be careful of his theology here. When he is talking about Esau being distracted and basically being dramatic saying he is about to die because he is so hungry. It was NOT Esau's emotions that told him he was about to die. The Hebrew word there means literal death. He asked for food as he was literally close to death. The stew was necessary. It wasn't about instant gratification. Again, I get what he's saying and the point he is trying to make but you have to make sure the Biblical example you are using is correct to and aligns to the point you are trying to make.

  7. I have always tried to watch each sermon the week it's released. But for some reason, I never got to watch this till today. God is a God of perfect timing because I watched this during the hardest week I have had in a while. I was distracted about potential, I was emotional. Kept asking myself and God when it will be. This sermon has really helped me and I will continue to wait. I won't be short-sighted. I will wait. Thank you so much.
