Golgotha according to Bob Cornuke is east of the temple check it out. Also that the temple is in the center of the city of David, that is the stronghold of Zion, not the Temple Mount the old remains of fort Antonio the Roman fortress. Check it out before rejecting it.

You might want to rethink your story a bit. Romans did not crucify people up on top of hills. They put them on the roadside for others to see. So most likely, Golgotha was behind him at his time of death.
