R.C. Sproul | – Jesus Before the Sanhedrin (Mark 14:53-72) — A Sermon by R.C. Sproul

While Jesus stood trial before the Sanhedrin, another trial was going on outside. To escape the accusations of a servant girl, Peter denied that he knew Christ at all. Today, R.C. Sproul continues his series in the gospel of Mark, urging us to stand openly for Christ, no matter the cost.

This sermon was preached by R.C. Sproul at Saint Andrew’s Chapel in Sanford, Fla. Hear more from his series in the gospel of Mark: [support us]

  1. How many of us would be like Peter under pressure? We really don’t know what we would due honestly unless we have been under the threat of life and death in our own lives. Peter was holding onto pride when he told Jesus that he would never leave him. What would you do if someone threatened the life of your loved ones in an attempt to deny Christ? Your baby? Your hubby? Your children? Parent? Mild to moderate persecution are practicing grounds to strengthen our courage and trust in Holy Spirit to protect us from harm.
