  1. Abraham was…

    Saved from Babylonian culture.
    Saved from the five kings.
    Saved from childlessness.
Saved from the offering up of his son.
Saved like a Christian? No no no no
He was brought into a Covenant relation with God.
    Hebrews 11 says…
In the Middle of describing the faith of Abraham the writer stops to say…
13All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.
I dont know of any christian that believes that they die believing but not having salvation! All the OT saints died not entering into what God promised.
    The writer says again…
39These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised,
Clearly abraham did not have in his mortal life what God promised.
Is this how Christians see their Salvation? Do they die not having recieved it?

  2. I've said it once. I'll say it a thousand more times. Covenant theology interprets the Old Testament in light of the New Testament, but dispensationalists interpret the New Testament in light of the Old Testament.

Galatians 3 says Abraham believed the same gospel as us because he trusted in his offspring (singular) who would bring salvation from sin to the nations.

Galatians 3 says the heirs of Abraham's covenant are not Jews, but believers.

Romans 4 says salvation has always by faith because of Abraham's example.

This fool rejects all of that. Why? Because his beloved Old Testament interpretation trumps what the New Testament says.
