  1. The food is expensive once you start, but you get a few things at a time. Start with one recipe and get the staples with a few extra ones and start to gather them. After a while, you'll have the needed staples and the food budget will go back to where it was before buying the good foods. . It takes a while, but we've been taught from childhood that processed foods are our main staple. The chemicals are very bad for us and I for one have been following the DP since Jan and I crave two things: Cigarettes and Kraft Mac and Cheese. All chemicals.(I smoked 30 years ago and struggle with the cravings when I"m around smokers.) Giving up processed foods is like giving up cigarettes. It isn't easy but it can be done. Pastor Rick is so right when he says Daniel refused to eat the king's fried chicken, pastas, hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, fried fish, fried veggies, yuck!! Daniel wanted to give God glory by taking care of his body. OUr bodies are God's temple so if we sustain from sexual sins in order to take care of God's temple, why not food?
