Steven Furtick | – When Your Thoughts Attack | Steven Furtick

Odds are, if you really think about the way you feel, you can always find a thought that started it. If you’re feeling insecure, did you compare yourself to someone else first? If you’re frustrated, did you catch a thought of offense?

Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC is helping us guard our minds and hearts from thoughts that are making us sick.

In this season of our lives we’re practicing social distancing because we all know we can catch a disease from being in contact with other people. But are we paying attention to the contacts in our phone? We may not be close to others physically, but that doesn’t mean we are immune to the influence of their mindsets.

Pastor Steven challenges us to ask this question whenever we’re feeling like we don’t matter and struggling with insecurity, “Where did that thought come from?” He helps you know what to do when your thoughts attack? Just like Eve in the garden of Eden who caught a deceptive thought from a serpent, we are susceptible to deception and manipulation from the competing voices vying for our attention.

We believe watching this message will help you fight back against the thoughts that are attacking your peace of mind.

  1. Try breathing is key to connecting feeling's to thought's and body to mind. Practice concentration skills. And you will have control of your mind. Teach it to think how you want it to think. Like the person you want to be who you are. Understand that your mind lies to you. Teach it to think right from wrong. Have control of your thoughts. Thank you lord amen.

  2. I am so thankful for coming across this video im 24 years old and ive came in contact with drugs and anger issues and i finally came to the realization that God has been with me even when i felt lost at sea he was there and today as i write this im allowing myself to let the blood of christ rain down on to my entire being and live a life with God and allow myself to be healed by Christ, Thank you for this video

  3. You can be delivered from unwanted thoughts that aren’t your own. I used to have this happen and I prayed a lot and confessed my sins and repented. Any time I had a bad thought I said that’s not my thought and now I rarely hear thoughts that aren’t my own.

  4. It would mean a lot to me if you guys would please pray for me. I have lustful thoughts and have been struggling with them for years most of the time the devil gets the best of me. This always strays me farther from God because I feel unworthy of his forgiveness and love. I love you guys, please keep me in your prayers ❤️

  5. Yes I the moment I've got that feeling that I will get the job that I want and I feel with everything that is happening like it's actually going to happened and I feel like God's got me in this one but the negativity is something I am battling right now trying to kill my Faith but such inspirational words just strengthen me
So I think get the right thoughts in

  6. The gospel by which we're SAVED. We're under Paul's ministry today. Therefore we're not under the law of the old testament. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV)(1) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL (good news) which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; (2) By which also ye are SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain (self). (3) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that CHRIST DIED for our SINS according to the scriptures; (4) And that he was BURIED, and that he ROSE AGAIN the THIRD DAY according to the scriptures.

And that takes us back to John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH in him should NOT PERISH, but have EVERLASTING LIFE. Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) (8) For by GRACE are ye SAVED through FAITH; and that NOT of yourselves: it is the GIFT of GOD: (9) NOT of works, lest any man should boast. So it's only by GRACE that we are SAVED not by works. JESUS did all the work and gave us GRACE (unmerited favor) as long as we have FAITH (believe) in the DEATH, BURIAL, and RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ for SALVATION (trust in his BLOOD ATONEMENT). That's the gospel. JESUS said, Ye must be BORN AGAIN to enter into the kingdom.(accept Jesus as your SAVIOUR)

READ, UNDERSTAND, BELIEVE (from the heart by FAITH) and be SAVED
