  6. Pastor, what about when it's your family who constantly compares you to everyone? What happens and what do I do when it's the people I live with that are constantly comparing me to everyone else, and by that I mean in the most negative way possible, what do I do?

  14. I often ask myself, "Am I happy with my life?" I look for things, persons, events in life that will make me happy. I keep on comparing myself with other people's lives.

    Hearing this message made me realize that in order for me to be happy and have that JOY in my life, I need to focus on the blessings that God is giving me. Focus on having JOY by not lookin' at other people's joy.

  19. Joy is God's Face. Jesus' Eyes and His Radiant countenance. If you want to see it, pray to see God and read Revelation 1:12-16 and Revelation 4:1-6 "Better is the house of mourning than the house of laughter" if you want joy, go to the funeral of a saint who lived for Jesus. I've been to funerals that were better than weddings.

  21. Joy is a gift. Without purpose and without grace, and without thankfulness, there is no joy, only a striving to feel better in order to escape reality and life, instead of embracing all of life's struggles. Embrace it – for the joy that is set before you.

  22. The joy is in the salvation. The joy of serving Christ. The joy of loving my wife as Christ loved the Church. How about fulfilling His joy, by being like-minded. The joy comes from abiding in Him. Scripture declares it all. If we have no joy, it's an obedience issue and it's a deception issue. .

  42. Somewhere in the bible I think I remember hearing a verse that went something like "we should ask not what has this world come to, but what has come into the world"

    Jesus' death on the cross and our subsequent salvation is all the joy we really need <3
