T. D. Jakes | – T.D. Jakes Sermons: The Fight with Frustration Part 2

Do you know what it’s like to be frustrated? How do you handle your frustrations? Learn from the life of Moses in this T.D. Jakes sermon, “The Fight With Frustration.”

Moses is known as a great man of faith, but he also had very real problems that we can relate to all too well. One of these was his reaction to frustration. In this sermon, T.D. Jakes uses one prime example from Moses’ wilderness journey with the Israelites.

While God continually sustained His people, once again they were acting like God abandoned them and complaining about their situation. Moses felt like, at this juncture, they should have more faith. As T.D. Jakes puts it, he “expected more and got less.” This is typically where frustration sets in for us as well.

Another cause of frustration is change. We might be affronted by a change in circumstances, a new way of doing things, different ideas or processes. But how do we overcome frustration?

In Moses’ case, instead of speaking to the rock as God instructed, he smote it. He became angry with God, angry with the situation, angry with the people, and acted out. As a consequence, Moses was not allowed into the Promised Land.

Being frustrated is one thing. Acting out on that frustration is another. What can you do instead of striking out? Find out as T.D. Jakes gives sound, spiritual advice and hope in a God of generous grace.
