  1. We’ve received a lot of great questions about our recent Angels and Cherubim video. One question, in particular, has been: Who or what are the seraphim in Isaiah chapter 6, and how do they relate to the cherubim? The rabbit hole, as always, is deep and fascinating! Let’s recall that the cherubim function as guardians at the boundary between heaven and earth (as in Genesis 3:24). They support Yahweh’s throne in the heavenly temple (Psalm 99:1), or carry his mobile throne-chariot that appears to prophets on earth (as in Ezekiel 9:3 and 10:1). An important fact here is that each time they appear, they look slightly different and are called by different titles. They’re “living creatures” (Ezekiel 1) or “cherubim” (Ezekiel 10). They have have two wings (Exodus 25:20) or four (Ezekiel 1:6), with one face (1 Kings 8:6-7) or two (Ezek 41:18) or four (Ezek 10:14)! This variety points to their symbolic nature. The diversity of their appearance mirrors the diversity of the earthly creatures that they represent in the heavenly realm, channeling creation’s beauty into praise to the Creator. These various titles and depictions help us understand what the prophet Isaiah (ch. 6) sees in his vision of the same heavenly throne room. He describes hybrid creatures who perform a similar role to the cherubim, but with some variations. They have six wings (instead of two or four), and they guard the divine throne with their choir song: “Holy, holy, holy is Yahweh of hosts, that which fills the land is his glory” (Isaiah 6:3). In addition, they're called seraphim only here in the Hebrew Scriptures. This uniqueness has led some people to think that seraphim are a species of spiritual being different from the cherubim, but this is unlikely. Isaiah’s vision fits the same pattern of heavenly throne guardians who have different appearances and titles when they show up in scripture. But why are they called seraphim in Isaiah chapter 6? Here's the real rabbit hole! The Hebrew word "seraphim" is one of the common Hebrew words for "snake." And if the image of winged snakes sounds crazy to you, notice that Isaiah uses the same exact word two other times where its meaning is very clear: “flying snakes” (Isaiah 14:29 and 30:6). In Isaiah chapter 14, it’s a metaphor for the ruler of Babylon, who has attempted to ascend into the heavens and usurp God’s throne (14:12-15)! Does that sound familiar? Isaiah’s seraphim are hyperlinked to the rebel cherub in Ezekiel 28:14 and to that clever snake in Genesis 3! This is why we omitted discussion of the seraphim in our Angels and Cherubim video because we’ll focus on them in our forthcoming video on The Satan and Demons. And one last thing! If you’re still not sure if the cherubim and seraphim are the same creature, check out Revelation 4:5-9, where John’s vision of the divine throne room merges imagery from all over the Hebrew Bible. He sees a crystal sky-platform (from Exodus 24:10), with living creatures (from Ezekiel 1) that have eyes all over (from the cherubim in Ezekiel 10), but they have six wings and sing “holy, holy, holy…!” (from the seraphim of Isaiah 6). In John’s apocalyptic imagination, all of these diverse heavenly creatures are really one, transforming the noise and beauty of creation into one ultimate song that honors the Creator and King of all.

  2. how to have eternal life! ~ John 6:27-29 " Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” "
~ John 3:13-17 ~ "No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."
~ 1 John 5:10-13 ~ "Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."~Romans 3:20-28 "Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
    Righteousness Through Faith
21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in[h] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement,[i] through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
27 Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith. 28 For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law."

~Romans 8:1-4" Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you[a] free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh,[b] God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering.[c] And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit."

~Romans 7:1-6 "Do you not know, brothers and sisters—for I am speaking to those who know the law—that the law has authority over someone only as long as that person lives? 2 For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law that binds her to him. 3 So then, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man.
4 So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. 5 For when we were in the realm of the flesh,[a] the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death. 6 But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code."

  3. They do not represent "all the creatures of the earth", they represent the constellations of the great year cycle, which the hebrews were aware of: Leo, Scorpio, Taurus and Aquarius. It's the procession of the Equinox.

  4. No wings part doesn't seem right to me.
Like you guys said, Angel page of Wikipedia says:

Christian art perhaps reflects the descriptions in Revelation 4:6–8 of the Four Living Creatures and the descriptions in the Hebrew Bible of cherubim and seraphim (the chayot in Ezekiel's Merkabah vision and the Seraphim of Isaiah). However, while cherubim and seraphim have wings in the Bible, no angel is mentioned as having wings. [100]

This implies that seraphim are not angels.

    And that's wrong.

Wikipedia page sources [100] as International Standard Bible's definition of angels. They say:

There is no hint that angels ever appeared in female form.

    This part is true.

The conception of angels as winged beings, so familiar in Christian art, finds no support in Bible (except, perhaps Da 9:21; Re 14:6, where angels are represented as "flying").

    This is also wrong.

Seraphim are from the highest angelic class and they serve as the caretakers of God's throne. They are represented as winged (Ex 25:20; Isa 6:2) who are the first sphere angels serve as the heavenly servants of God the Son incarnated.
The ones that continuously shout praise: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!"(Revelation 4:6-8)

About the Book of Ezekiel, Living creatures (Bible) of Wikipedia says:

Ezekiel's vision of the four living creatures in Ezekiel chapter 1 are identified as cherubim in chapter 10 who are God's throne bearers.[2]

This implies that they are not angels.

    This is partially wrong.

In Revelation 4:6–8 Ezekiel describes the Four Living Creatures which consists of three cherubim and an ophan called "Ezekiel's Wheel" you see at 0:39 and 1:07) Ophanim are angels from the class called thrones. They're burning rings full of eyes who are beneath the throne of God(Daniel 7:9) and sometimes referred as many-eyed ones.

    Hope this cleared things.

  5. Hi guys, I have a question, when you said that since people can't enter into God's room God sends spiritual Messengers to help us merge to the spiritual world but didn't Jesus tear down the symbolic curtain that seperated God and man so we could enter the holy of holies?

  6. Ha. No. These are the creatures that mark the 4 corners of the Zodiac . Man Aquarius – Taurus-Bull Leo- Lion – Scorpio- is Eagle in Babylon-Ur Zodiac. They mark the new age, when on a future Spiring Equinox, the Sun will rise in Aquarius giving each face ruler ship over a season.

  7. First: Are angles Seraphim ? In Old Testament Seraphim had wings : Isaiah 6 ( Above him stood the seraphim; each had six wings)!!

Second: I think the idea of cherub is from ( The lamassu ) , which was a celestial being from ancient Mesopotamian religion bearing a human head, bull's body, sometimes with the horns and the ears of a bull, and wings.

Third: In I slam angels have wings: ( All praise belongs to ALLAH, the originator of the heavens and the earth, Who employs the angels as Messengers, having wings, two, three, and four S. 35:1 ) !!

  8. To whoever reads this comment, wherever you are: do you desire the truth that the Messiah has to give freely? Do you wish to follow him in Spirit and in Truth? Come closer and read these words given from the Shepherd himself!

"And he (Jesus) said unto them, 'Go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved, but he that disbelieves shall be condemned'" (Mark 16:15-16)

"If you love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15)

"He that loves me not keeps not my words: and the word which you heard is not mine, but the Father who sent me" (John 14:24)

"A new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another." (John 13:34-35)

"Not every one that says to me, 'Lord, Lord' shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by that name do many mighty works?' And then I will profess unto them, 'I never knew you: depart from me ye that work iniquity!'" (Matthew 8:21-23)

"Take heed that you do not your righteousness before men, to be seen of them: else you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 6:1)

"You have heard that it was said to them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgement: but I say unto you, that every one who is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever shall say to his brother 'Raca' (meaning "empty headed") shall be in danger of the council; and whosoever shall say 'You fool' shall be in danger of the hell of fire" (Matthew 5:21-22)

"You have heard that it was said, 'Thou shall not commit adultery': but I say unto you, that every one that looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart" (Matthew 6:27-28)

These are but a few scriptures, but if you desire more, than read the Gospels for yourselves! Do not just get your bible knowledge from men who claim to be teachers, or claim to be annointed by the Holy Spirit! There are many false teachers in the world today! Learn from the Master himself, and he will not lead you astray! Read the scriptures for yourselves and be saved! Do not lose your soul out of ignorance!

"Every one therefore that hears these words of mine, and does them not, shall be like a wise man, who built his house upon the rock. And the rains descended and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat down upon that house, and it fell not: for it was founded upon the rock. And every one that hears these words of mine, and does them not, shall be like unto a foolish man, who built his house on the sand: and the rains descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smite upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall thereof." (Matthew 7:24-27)

May the Word of God spread over all the internet, and every man hear and know these truths.

  9. Can people have angels and demons inside of them? I believe I have been selected to do something, but unsure what. My name still is being shouted in my head even while on medications. Any thoughts or prayers?

  10. Felt compelled to write my story ! My father had been so tired of cancer that he couldn't fight no more. His family needed him, he was our glue . I cried myself to sleep, then got woke up in the night to see a little figure of a man, with out wings. This man must have been 2 ft tall looked like stone ! As anyone else experienced this ?

  11. Kinda disappointing angels don’t have wings, I guess we assumed they had to have a way of going back and forth from Heaven and jet packs really didn’t seem very graceful…. now I can’t stop thinking of angels with jet packs

  13. These "beings" were fucking aliens that came to visit primitive man , is it not obvious??? We are biologically engineers contains of organic matter with no purpose in this void of a universe!!!

  14. The gospel by which we're saved. We're under Paul's ministry today. Therefore we're not under the law of the old testament. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV)1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
And that takes us back to John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. So it's only by GRACE that we are saved not by works. Jesus did all the work and gave us GRACE (unmerited favor) as long as we have FAITH (believe) in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for SALVATION (trust in his blood). That's the gospel. Jesus said, Ye must be born again to enter into the kingdom.(accept Jesus as your SAVIOR)
