  9. While I knew the time period John & Mary are discussing in the scene; Only because I knew John wrote his gospel later in his life ministry. People who don't know Bible history or who don't pic up subtle cues that it is his Gospel he is writing… I remember thinking when I first watched, it wasn't clear where in the timeline the scene was set. Many people could be confused.

  27. I liked the original line…"you need to mourn your brother" better. Jesus wanted His followers to paying attention and if they are, it makes perfect sense what Mother Mary is saying. The "Big James" switch sounds awkward and out of place to me…too formal!

  31. It is said that Big James died in 44 A.D. Also Biblically, very little is known about Little James. Little James name was James the son of Alphaeus, which has led some to conclude that James and Matthew might have been brothers.

And it's true, "your brother" was a bit confusing in the midst of trying to figure out where we were, what was going on, all characters are older and … huh???? …. disorienting at first. I watched the episode twice so the beginning would 100% make sense to me after not quite getting it the first time through.

  35. I have “binged” Jesus nonstop and noticed the change from brother to Big James before this update came out. I love this series!! My question is this…. Every time Jesus touches someone’s shoulder, they look down at His hand…. I am hopeful that the reasoning behind it will be revealed.
