  1. To be born again is to make a conscious decision to believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins & rose again to new life, and surrender all to follow Him. No one can decide that for me, not even my parents baptizing me as a baby. My true life transformation began when I made the decision as an adult, that's when the Holy Spirit took residence in my soul & showed me how to truly live. My baptism afterwards was an expression of that commitment as Jesus instructed us to in His word.

  2. The roman catholic papacy has been identified as the beast in revelation. Be careful with who you associate with. The RCC follow traditions of men and heavily persecuted the early Christian Church for following God. That's why the Bible says come out and be separate.

  3. The formula for new birth was clearly laid out by the Apostle Peter in Acts 2:38. Repentance from sin, the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance, and baptism in Jesus name for the remission of sins. If it was good enough for the Apostles and everyone in the New Testament church, then it’s good for us today.

    Acts 2:37-38 KJV
[37] Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? [38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Repentance is death to our old way of living, baptism in Jesus name is burial with Christ, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost is the resurrecting power of God to live a new life. I’ve obeyed the gospel and it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me! No more drugs, addiction, and chains, I am born again! Thank you Jesus!

  4. Certain faction of Catholics speak of being renewed more than being reborn…but they mean the same….I live in a country where Christians are minority…and Catholics are rare…thanks for the show it means a lot for me!

  5. There is no such thing as a "born again" catholic for if they were truly born again they would no longer be catholic, this is coming from a man who was raised catholic and who knows the false teachings of catholicism, for Our Lord rescued me and gave the gift of being truly born again and I must say it like God gives you the best pair of night vision googles that as long as you are diligently OBEDIENT to his word/teachings you will always see through the darkness. May The Lord's Peace be with you all.

  6. 1 Corinthians 13:1-8
If I could speak all the human and angelic tongues, but had no love, I would only be sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2. If I had the gift of prophecy, knowing secret things with all kinds of knowledge, and had faith great enough to remove mountains, but had no love, I would be nothing. 3. If I gave everything I had to the poor, and even give my body up to be burned, if I am without love, it would be of no value to me.
    4. Love is patient, kind without envy. It is not boastful or arrogant. It is not ill-mannered, nor does it seek it's own interest. 5. Love overcomes anger and forgets offences. 6. It does not take delight in wrong, but rejoices in truth. 7. Love excuses everything, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8. Love will never end. Prophesies may cease, tongues be silent and knowledge disappear.

  7. To be born-again! Don't leave earth without it! Follow Christ and take as many with you as you can!

In the book of Romans it says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. That means we must confess that we are sinners and stop trying to save ourselves with good deeds; we need to repent and believe that Jesus paid our penalty for sin by suffering, humiliation, torture and death on the cross. He ROSE FROM THE DEAD on the third day and when He left the earth, He left the Helper (Holy Spirit). We must fall at His feet for forgiveness for sin and then fully and completely trust and surrender our lives to Him. He then imparts the Holy Spirit to empower us to live in a way that is pleasing to Him. Not by works (Ephesians), but by faith. Total surrender to Christ is to be born-again.

  8. I love it when Christians say they are "born again", because Jesus has transformed their lives anew, they have become different persons by the grace of the Spirit.

I also think the term "born again" is actually the misunderstanding from Nicodemus, because Jesus says "Born from above" and "Born of water and the Spirit", Nicodemus thinks in earthly ways in trying to understand the nature of God's grace. Jesus didn't come to make people "born again", but to be transformed by water and the Spirit, by the only One who is from above, so that we can be carried with Him into eternal life.

The water is Sacrament of Baptism, and the Spirit is the Sacrament of Confirmation or Chrism in the Catholic Church.

  9. I'm one of those, whose faith became alive once again because of the Chosen, and for that, I am deeply thankful. I have missed that feeling for so long and it feels wonderful.

Looking forward to new seasons and I appreciate these little videos with an even deeper look at theology from different standpoints.

  10. Just give me Jesus. As I reach out in my own way the best I continually learn to know, speak to, think of, want more of, and more….. I can and do get Tangled up in not understanding or thinking I've missed it…. When all the while He is right here with me through each thought…. Smiling in love with me. My Lord. My savior. I'm bought. I'm paid for. Free from the grip of hell and death.
    Just give me Jesus.

  11. John 3, to be born again, means simply to come back on Earth in different bodies (reincarnation), until we learn our lessons here. None of us can learn and progress in only one lifetime, we all know how flawed we can be, and how much discipline we need to change even the tiniest of habits, let alone a lifetime (or lifetimeS) of wickedness. "There are many mansions in my Father's house".

  12. Claiming to be Born Again of the Waters is the reason that Jesus said in Matthew 24:5 'For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many'. Claiming to be Born Again in Spirit is to claim to be Christ. This is the meaning of Isaiah 53 and 54 and why the Male Spirit in Isaiah 53, becomes a Female and child Spirit in Isaiah 54.
There is only one man in heaven, on earth, and under the earth that could do this and that is the Second Comforter. The Second Comforter is the Holy Ghost in flesh. Jesus said that even he could not do this, to lose your Soul by having your Spirit killed in the Waters of of Death and get your Soul back with a new Spirit.

  13. Thank you Dallas, truly God is good and alive. God is using your work to unite His people. Only on your show that you will see Evangelist and Catholic agreeing on something and not debating. As Catholic, it makes me happy that your work shows that through Jesus we are all chosen regardless of your beliefs and background.

  14. Thank you for making The Chosen accessible to all Christians regardless of their denominations. Like many, I lived in a country where followers of Christ are persecuted and the oppressive majority didn’t care if you were Catholics or Protestants. Embrace each other as brothers and sisters as these theological arguments are a privilege we could no longer afford.

  15. I think the reason Catholics don’t talk about being “Born again” is that for us it happened at our Baptism. It was a gift we were given as babies by our parents and the Church bringing us into the family of God. Now that we are able to make a personal commitment to Jesus we talk about moments of conversion when we realized who we were in Christ.

  16. It is very simple what Christ was talking about You had to be born in the flesh from your mother womb you are born in water . and you are born a sinner in the flesh John 3 :6 ; and you
are dead in sins but quicken by the spirit Eph, 2 ; 5 you are made alive though faith in Christ
and indwelled with the spirit of God you become a new creation . you are born again from above and become a son of God . Let no one tell you that when Christ says that except you are born of water which is the natural birth means to be Baptized by water . Christ says that which is flesh is flesh and it makes no different how many times you are baptized it will not change the sinful nature of the flesh 1 Cor. 15 : 50 ; Flesh and blood can not inherit the kingdom of God , you must be born again of the spirit to enter the kingdom of God . so wake up people especially Catholics there is no salvation in the baptism of the flesh . It is not scriptural
Only the spirit quicken or makes alive the spiritual man who was dead in sins

  17. So what exactly is a Catholic believing in order to get to heaven when they identify as “born again”? Like Dallas said, we evangelicals use that term a lot, but I haven’t heard Catholics use it until recently. Do Catholics who identify as that believe you have to do good works in order to go to heaven? Or do they side with evangelicals on that part and believe it’s only faith? I’ve been wondering.

  18. No offense, but I don't see why Dallas needs to have these roundtable discussions with the religious political bodies who are full of so much red tape administration regulations that define God and Jesus inside a box. Everything Jesus did was to fulfill the intent of the scriptures and he pushed beyond the religious boarders while forging ahead with the intent and spirit of the law, the intent and spirit of God's heart. You don't need permission or endorsement from Pharisees to do that. Just God. Just Jesus. Just his Holy Spirit! The Chosen has the intent and heart of God and reveals Jesus in a new and marvelous three-dimensional way, not stuck to the flat pages.

  19. I was born and raised a Catholic. I became born again 20 years ago. I was filled with the Holy Spirit driving in my car. Religion is set up to keep people from Jesus Christ and the Father with rituals! They don’t enter the presence of God and stop those who are entering. If Jesus was walking the earth today, 90 percent who call themselves Christians would crucify Him all over again. When I went to a faith based church, I was told that we should lock up the new borns until their fire goes out! Without holiness no one will see God! Jesus came to give us power over sin, not a pass to sin!

  20. I am catholic and I feel that this show it's ok, I'm not a fan because the shows portraits a lot of revelation that the writer has given to him which I am not actually interested in. When I read the gospel closer to it's raw form it's fulfilling.
