About The Author

The Chosen WHY A TV SERIES ABOUT JESUS? We've been making movies for some of the biggest studios in Hollywood for 20 years. But a subject this important shouldn't be entrusted to Hollywood. It needs to be made by us. Isaiah 43:19 says, "Behold, I am doing a new thing..." The Chosen is a new thing. * How it was financed is new: We're the #1 highest crowd-funded media project of all time -- over $10 million from over 19,000 people. * The content is new: We're the first-ever multi-season show about the life of Christ. * The way to watch it is new: We're the first show to have our own app that connects directly to your streaming devices. No subscription needed. Just search "The Chosen" where you get apps and download to your phone. * How it's reaching the world is new: The show is free, but by "paying it forward," you help ensure people around the world can see it -- we're currently in every country. Welcome to a new thing!

  1. Dallas' comment he surrounds himself with smart people is not only a sign of his innate humility, it is also the sign of a leader! No doubt this one factor alone lends itself to the creating of such a successful series — along with his personal devotion. The Chosen global family is so grateful and appreciative of his talents!

  2. What you do is amazing! To be able to "work" with all the mechanics and theatrics required for this production, and yet, to still give us on this side of the screen such a moving experience with
every episode is a wondrous thing. Thank you, and so looking forward to season 2.

  3. Well I will officially lose it and be a blubbering mess when the father brings his demon-possessed son to Jesus for healing. Maybe sounds strange, but that story has very significant meaning to me. There are a few things I am already mentally preparing myself for and that's one of them. I cannot wait to see how you guys do it…it's going to be AMAZING!

  4. The director, Dallas Jenkins, is the most thoughtful person, I love how he is with children! He’s also a very humble man which makes this project even more special! Many blessings to everyone on and off screen of @The Chosen! ♥️

  5. These are all scenes from Episode 4 of Season 2 and it was riveting! SPOILER ALERT! The writers skillfully weaved the story of the man at the pool of Bethesda, John 5: 1-5 and Simon the Zealot! I had to do some research on this little known follower of Jesus, who is referenced in Matthew 1O:4, Mark 3:18, Luke 6:15 and Acts 1:13. The only word I can use to describe the writing of this episode is, superb!
