About The Author

The Chosen WHY A TV SERIES ABOUT JESUS? We've been making movies for some of the biggest studios in Hollywood for 20 years. But a subject this important shouldn't be entrusted to Hollywood. It needs to be made by us. Isaiah 43:19 says, "Behold, I am doing a new thing..." The Chosen is a new thing. * How it was financed is new: We're the #1 highest crowd-funded media project of all time -- over $10 million from over 19,000 people. * The content is new: We're the first-ever multi-season show about the life of Christ. * The way to watch it is new: We're the first show to have our own app that connects directly to your streaming devices. No subscription needed. Just search "The Chosen" where you get apps and download to your phone. * How it's reaching the world is new: The show is free, but by "paying it forward," you help ensure people around the world can see it -- we're currently in every country. Welcome to a new thing!

  1. I think the world needed this series. An it came in just at the right time, my experience was a real spiritual awakening, every episode was a step closer an closer to God! Really enjoyed the characters of jesus disciples they'll played their part so good… Mathew was my favorite tho!!! You can see how jesus heart was bursting with love an enjoyed each an everyone of them ! Best movie ever!

  2. I really love the chosen and the way the characters are portrayed except for peter I find it impossible to accept this version of him, yes he appears to have been impulsive but not "charming" whimsical man he was a strong willed imposing man who did not suffer fools lightly at least thats what I have always seen in the scriptures,

  3. I want to applaud all of you for REALLY bringing the apostles to life. With a degree in Religious Education and after studying with a Rabbi: I have to say that it is amazing how you have managed to humanize each disciple so that they remain all throughout well rounded instead of the flat characters that we normally find in movies or in books. Great job! Thank you!

  4. The new Testes is hearsay since these letters, 'gospels' and stories were written by the loyal faithful, the camp followers,

not by objective historians at that particular time,

    or by any contemporary writers,

and these tales were written many years after the supposed events of this mythical Jesus.

There is essentially very little evidence of a Jesus in real documented history.

A couple of spurious Roman reports, and all the rest anecdotal.

…but more importantly …a jesus' existence is not an issue!

A jesus is irrelevant without a god !

  5. I love this show, I have been telling family and friends and strangers about the show. I spoke with a new tax preparer about the show indicating one of my favorite people on the show besides Jesus is Matthew the tax collector. I showed him the app and recommended he watch the show. I plan on reading the book of Matthew again just because of how Paras' playing the role of Matthew, I will see his when reading. I love the Lord Jesus, and already had and have a close relationship with Him….but now, even closer. Thank you for showing Jesus' sense of humor, I always knew he displayed a sense of humor as well as the other disciples…it makes sense, we need a sense of humor they did as well. Thank you for making them real and come to life off the page.

  6. Amazing! This is definitely God inspired no doubt. I could feel the Holy Spirit's presence. Brings the Bible to life! Thank you all for allowing yourselves to be conduits to disseminate God's Word and Love to this dying world. Timely and much needed!❤️

  7. Matthew is my FAVORITE character. Prior to this show I read Matthew with not much connection. I can’t wait to go back and read it understanding Matthew and his logical and rational mind. The humility that all of you are showing to make these characters comes alive makes them so much more human. God bless you guys and being obedient to the vision the Spirit has given you.

  8. Just catching this roundtable discussion. Wow…powerful. Immediately, the scripture words when Jesus says, ' I am in Him and He is in me' comes to mind. JUST AS…JUST AS…the Father and the Son are ONE, we are one …in 'character'. God plants a Garden …a special environment were we are to gleen organically but within the frameworkof a particular'scene' of life. Scripture becomes our blueprint in the garden of our life, if you will…and it is in us and WE are in it. We step into it as it steps into us. Just like taking on a any role. Beautiful!

  9. I to love Matthew. He was wonderful in his part. Mary though first episode when he called her by name it so spoke to my heart, I cried then when she had went back because she felt she wasn't good enough spoke ago to my spirit, that yes, yes, Yes Jesus hasn't given up on me. He sees me. He knows my heart. I can't wait for Season Three. Thank God, Thank all of you, every one who gave to this in one way or another. Shalom

  10. Obviously nobody knows how Jesus' followers really were, but they really were human. So whatever the mix of actors NOW- it's got to be similar to how people were then. THAT's been missing in pulpit presentations my whole life! — GODD VISION! GREAT JOB!

  11. I am loving The Chosen. I have been blown away by the beautiful and respectful portrayal of Jesus and His disciples. I hope that more Christians will step forward and create TV shows and movies. Thank you for being the salt and the light.

  12. All the character where amazing just perfection but Matthew he has a call. He was beyond incredible I felt like his character so real so human so vulnerable and Matthew character is phenomenal actor. Paras you go boy!
