The Chosen | – Water to Wine: The Chosen's Wedding at Cana

Episode 5 features one of the most famous miracles in the Bible, the water to wine. We also portrayed a Jewish wedding through the eyes of Jesus, his mother Mary, the disciples, and Thomas.

Here’s an inside look at “wedding week,” the filming of the wedding at Cana.

The Chosen is a new thing. * How it was financed is new: We're the #1 highest crowd-funded media project of all time -- over $10 million from over 19,000 people. * The content is new: We're the first-ever multi-season show about the life of Christ. * The way to watch it is new: We're the first show to have our own app that connects directly to your streaming devices. No subscription needed. Just search "The Chosen" where you get apps and download to your phone. * How it's reaching the world is new: The show is free, but by "paying it forward," you help ensure people around the world can see it -- we're currently in every country. Welcome to a new thing!

  1. “Maybe, for once in your life, don’t think.”
    – The Chosen S1E5 Ending

I don’t need perfect reasons for going where He calls me. All I need is to know He is there.

Jesus put himself under imperfect structures and people for a lifetime. He did not blindly follow them, but humbly walked under their authority until the right time came.

Thanks Dallas and team. I needed to hear this today.

  2. So glad to see a solid director who understands filmmaking. It consists of so many different disciplines and they are all important. Cinematography and lighting, writing, acting, set design, score composition, historical accuracy and casting are all crucial to making any film as great as it can be. All of these and more have been valued and they all have the emphasis needed to make a solid piece of art. Congratulations to all involved!

  3. I love The Chosen. It has opened up my eyes and understanding more. Just reading scripture can be boring at times. Watching Jesus movies is boring as well since they have the same story line, scenes and words. Just different actors. But here we see something more. What about the inner actions of the people? What about the problems they go through? The conversations and issues they have are similar to what we have today. Put yourself in their place and think about what you would say or do.

  4. One of the best scenes in The Chosen, so far. Wedding Feast of Cana, 2nd Luminous Mystery. 5:04 what is the title of this song? Then they made a special set beside the tax collector booth of Matthew see 8:33, Amazing. And is the camera men at the top of Zechariah's house?

  5. I have watched all 8 Episodes of Season 1. I have now appreciated what St. Paul said about Jesus taking the form of a slave. The Chosen has stoked the flame of my faith like no one has. Thank you all for this gift of THE CHOSEN. The actors are excellent!! Their acting is way beyond any award that can be given.

  6. I really like watching how the shots are filmed and how the actors react to it all. I feel they are all blessed and we are all blessed to have this production going on. Dallas is great as the director and God is directing him. Do wonderful. Love and the best, Carlene Barber

  7. I never understood this miracle. Seemed really random. If anything like typical man, if he did have power, would simply create a keg for his boys. Or what was the purpose of it. I can see how a Leper would testify of the power and by a symbol against society's appalling behavior towards the sick. But water to wine? But the way I see it now, its was about transforming something ordinary, into something extra ordinary. Same with people, he could make a sinner into a pillar of his church. I think thats what it means,

  8. " Repent is the START ……. "
Repent simply means ; rethought , rethink ,
with great anguishing in despair ,
change in the heart of mind

… until you " Repent " you will not turn any direction ,
you will only continue in and on your current way .
    If not, then perish …
Perish simply means ; to be rendered not usable for the intended purpose …

    Yahusha said to him,
    “I am the Way,
and the Truth, and the Life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.

    MARANATHA ……. The Repent Guy

  9. I just can NOT get enough of CHOSEN . Every single scene has a reference somewhere. Take the leper selling leather tools. Fast forward and Mathew and his mother are talking about the theft at his father's leather shop… The man being killed by Roman soldiers is the father of Jesse and Simon. Woven like a tapestry. Exquisite acting, writing and directing. God Himself is guiding this production. Pray for His protection and favor over all involved with this masterpiece.
