  1. This is refreshing. I'm tired of saccharine sermons that give you hope only to set you up for disappointment. That, or Calvinistic sermons that only succeed in making you feel guilty, accusing you of not doing enough to serve God and deny yourself. This is a good balance and tackles the difficult questions we have, even as Christians. I will admit I often feel depressed these days (I'm part of the essential services workers) and I have wished for death and Heaven more than once lately.

  2. Thank you very much pastor. A very deep teaching and so much of in-depth expounding of God’s word to help us in what we are currently facing in the world now. Lots of “food” for thought. Thank you may the Lord continue to enable you in His gospel ministry. Keep safe and God bless.

  3. This a simplifaction but my belief, understanding through choices and events in this life that we, me, God has given us a choice to exercise our free will, a moral compass (Romans 7:14-23) to recognize our decrepit state and need for a Savior, or live a worldly life and live in the flesh (Luke 23: 39-43)

  4. NT.wright believes that we are partners with God in bringing God’s kingdom to earth. Therefore it can be progressive , depending on our willingness to cooperate with God-Jesus-Spirit-Love. I see the progressive revelation of God and our consciousness in scripture and as we know Christ and follow (hear) him increasingly we are going in a direction, torward justice and the ultimate resurrection of our bodies, Gods end game.

  5. Tim Keller completely misinterprets every other religion and philosophy except Christianity to make them look unrealistic. Yes, Chistianity makes sense, but so many other religions. This is a common deceit by Christian pastors – misrepresenting what other faiths teach to make Christianity look superior.

  6. Thank you Dr. Keller. I know some of the concepts are not easy to grasp but the purpose is to be truthful other than simple. As C.S Lewis said 'The longest way round, is the shortest way home.'

  7. Pastor Keller…you are gifted of God to preach. Please if at all possible keep peaching in this venue. I have been a Christian for 28 years but have been in a spiritual darkness such as I have not known. You speak to my ❤️

  8. Thank you so much Dr. Tim. I am now reading your book: Making Sense of God. I am thoroughly enjoying it. Thank you for being a blessing to many who seek God and meaning in life!

  9. Something else important to remember is that when green says it doesn't matter whether you do good or evil he steals from God because he assumes there is such thing as good and evil and that they are different in extreme and very important ways. The problem is that he has no basis to say that because he lacks a moral law maker which means he lacks a moral law which means according to atheist philosophical worldview Hitler did no evil He just did, or as Dawkins says, "He danced to his DNA."

  10. Thanks so much for this talk. Brilliant, detailed yet concise apologetics and gospel message. Would you consider in this lock-down time where art has been squashed somewhat, would you consider a discussion about the ‘spirituality of music’. Ie. is music always spiritual? Is pop music dangerous? Is classical music safe? (Given the place of music has been mainly spiritual/cultural up until the last century). Is music more powerful than simple words?

  11. 36:40 is quite amazing word for me. I often struggle with this area. I am reminded of the three men thrown into the furnace. Yes, God saved them. But suddenly i had a light bulb moment. They actually died to themselves. They were willing to die rather than give up their faith. Without death there wouldnt be a resurrection. They died to themselves, they carried their cross (fear of death) and God came through for them. God, help me to die to myself. Amen.

  12. Listening to this during COVID-19 summer with all of the prevailing societal noise and thankful for Dr. Keller’s wisdom to address hope in practical and spiritually sound foundations. Thank you and may God continue to heal you and keep you strong.

  13. Thank you sir. No matter how terrible my days, no matter how distant I sail from God, I have tremendous comfort in listening to your sermons almost every night. They have reminded me of Biblical truths that I would otherwise have utterly forgotten, and has opened my eyes to the psychological terrain of the Christian mind, so that I can be more aware of my natural tendencies. Thank again Tim. I don't know if you'll ever see this, but I am in your debt. I thank God for you. In Jesus' name, stay safe and undeviatingly committed to Christ!

  14. Christianity it's not all the Christians denominations but they are the living stones the builders of Christ Tabernacle who represent all the elects from all nations. We are not of this world so why being preoccupy by the tribulations of this world if it's not our world? We are among them be wr are not from them, the deads byry their deads but we are ALIVE in Christ and dead as been destroyed at the cross our hope is not from this world BECAUSE it will all be destroyed by fire our kingdom is eternal and in Heaven with the Lord.To many false flags in the counterfeit christianity.
