I believe that this song spreads abroad an idea of Jesus that is as yet inappropriate to worshippers of Him. During His precious lifetime Our Lord never occupied thrones and indeed when the people tried to make Him king He moved from them. It is not for us now in the words of this song to attempt the same thing before that glorious moment when the angels words to Mary will be fulfilled and Jesus will assume the throne of David and rule over the House of Jacob forever. It will occur but God will make His enemies His footstool and we cannot erect thrones for Jesus anywhere except perhaps in our hearts for now . Bear in mind that Jesus was only ever addressed as King of the Jews first by wise men and then by Pilate who refused to alter what he had written on the cross. So please take what I have said as a mild difficulty I have in singing words like yours though this hymn is far superior in speaking of the kingship of Christ than all the others which mistakenly and horrendously inspire sexualised emotion in the singers and try to apply such inappropriate feeling towards Jesus in completely the wrong sense.
