Here’s Nick Smith’s heart behind the song (Bride of Christ):
“It is such an honor to be His in every season. I’ve been blessed to have men in my life model being His bride. I would like to honor Daryl Billings for always encouraging me and many to be loved by our Bridegroom. This song is 10+ yrs old inspired by Song of Songs birthed from a couple prayer room sets. It has ministered to me more than I ever imagined over these years. The confession, declaration, and agreement of our reality and hope proves powerful regardless of our perceived mountains or valleys.

Jesus has chosen us, we did not choose Him, but He allows us to respond to Him and abide, to believe and rest. No matter where you are or what is going on, you are His and He is yours forever. (Song 2:16) So until we see Him face to face let us hold onto the reality that He is holding us. For there will be a day! (Revelation 19:7)”

Lyrics:

For us to be apart is never what you wanted
This is what your heart, heart was longing for
It’s what you died for, for us to be yours

Yes Lord, Im yours
Yes Lord forever I am yours

This is who I am, the bride of Christ
You’re the lover of my soul

I can’t wait, to see your face
On our wedding day

And you will hold me in your arms
And i’ll feel your warm embrace
And you will whisper how you love me
And how you’ve longed for this very day

  1. I get it, I'm feeling the message in this song, I am his bride and I love Jesus so much. The thing is,. I have an appt. With a roofer any minute and now I have big salty tears rolling down my face, but it's ok!

  2. Oh my… you did it again… broke open my heart and let in the “balm of Gilead”…❤️❤️❤️

    ———————————————

    I once asked myself, what happens in my heart when I worship?

    I realised that the reason I worship, the truth behind the openness of my heart;
    the unashamed tears or laughter;
    the silences or the cheers;
    kneeling or standing.

    The reason I can worship in the way I do is simply because in His presence I am…
    Fully known.
    Fully understood.
    Fully accepted.
    Fully loved.
    Fully valued.
    Fully safe to just be me.
    I don’t have to hide,
    jump through hoops,
    meet a dress code,
    have a qualification or follow some sort of societally accepted norm.

    No, the reason I worship is because…
    He. Loves. Me.
    I no longer need to try.
    I just need to be.
    And that undoes me in ways that I can never hope to understand or explain.
    The anguished cry of the deepest place in my soul – please love me!!
    That is met when I worship my Father.
    Worship my Jesus.
    Worship with the advocacy of the Holy Spirit
    I love Him, because He first loved me.

    So, I worship. ❤️

  3. Lord Jesus Christ meet me here again in my weakness, in my fears, in my doubts, in my selfishness, in my brokeness, in my poverty in the spirit, in my powerless,… Just meet me my Christ Jesus and make me whole.
