Derek Prince | – Bend The Church & Bow The World, Pt 3 – Sin, Righteousness, Judgment – Derek Prince

‘Bend the Church and Bow the World’ was the theme of the revival that shook the little nation of Wales in 1904. It is still true today – if the Church will bend, the World will bow.

  1. Precious message! so I understand this: What is originated in us – our desires to serve God, our ideas, is going to burn up in the fire. Only what we do in obedience to Him will count as silver, gold, precious stones…. Hearing and obeying our Lord in our every day work is what counts. Doing the will of the Father, having intimacy with Jesus and being led by the Holy Spirit, that is what counts.

  2. This sermon begins by quoting Romans 8:1-2. I have an issue with how the first verse was rendered. Even today, many people quote the first half of Romans 8:1 and ignore the second half.
    They quote:

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." They walk away saying, "There is no condemnation for Christians. Hallelujah!"

However, that is only half of Romans 8:1 according to the King James Bible. Romans 8:1b says:

"…who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

If we put it all together, we read:

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

Therefore, whoever lives carnally is neither in Christ Jesus, nor is he immune from condemnation.

May the Lord bless all those with seeing eyes and hearing ears!
