This is so incredible!!! Earlier this year, I read the whole Bible 16 times. Today, I read 1 Samuel 16-31 three times (Septuagint, New Living Translation & King James Bible).
I have read those chapters many times over the years. Until today, I never once took to heart the 7 day fast that ended the book. Today, I took it to heart 3 times. Then Derek Prince brought that very fast up in this sermon! Praise the Lord!
But that is not all.
I am also reading a book by Torben Sondergaard entitled: "Sound Doctrine". In the chapter I read today, Torben talks about Joel 2. Of course, I have read Joel many times.
However, Torben put the chapter in a different light. Torben observed that repentance, fasting and prayer must come before the "afterward" blessings. NO ONE has ever explained it to me like that.
Once again… In this very same sermon, Derek Prince explains Joel 2 in the very same way as Torben! Praise the Lord!
Lastly, a few months ago I was looking at a website about demonic spirits. There was an alphabetized list of them. One type was false teachers. After a brief definition of what a false teacher was, there was a quite lengthy list if specific people. Afterward was a warning: "Run as far away from these wolves as you can. Instead, listen to Derek Prince and Torben Sondergaard."
