Lyrics:
The head that once was crowned with thorns
Is crowned with glory now
The Savior knelt to wash our feet
Now at his feet we bow

The one who wore our sin and shame
Now robed in majesty
The radiance of perfect love
Now shines for all to see

Your name, Your name is victory
All praise will rise to Christ our king

The fear that held us now gives way
To him who is our peace
His final breath upon the cross
Is now alive in me

By your spirit I will rise
From the ashes of defeat
The resurrected king
Is resurrecting me
In your name I come alive
To declare your victory
The resurrected king
Is resurrecting me

The tomb where soldiers watched in vain
Was borrowed for three days
His body there would not remain
Our God has robbed the grave
Our God has robbed the grave

Letras:
[Verso 1]
De espinas su corona fue
Mas hoy de gloria es
El Salvador lavó mis pies
Me rindo ante Él

[Verso 2]
Cayó mi culpa sobre aquel
Que hoy reina en majestad
Su amor perfecto iluminó
Toda la humanidad

[Coro]
Tu Nombre Dios, victoria es
Mi adoración a Cristo el Rey

[Verso 3]
No tengo nada que temer
Mi paz descansa en Ti
Jesús moriste en esa cruz
Para salvarme a mí

[Coro]
Tu Nombre Dios, victoria es
Mi adoración a Cristo el Rey

[Puente]
Derrotado ya no estoy
Por Tu espíritu en mí
Jesús resucitó
Y vivo está en mí
En Tu nombre vivo estoy
La victoria tengo en ti
Jesús resucitó
Y vivo está en mí

[Verso 4]
La tumba vigilada fue
En vano sin saber
Que a la muerte nuestro Dios
Venció con su poder

  1. I'm getting married next month, and as one of our first acts of unity as a married couple a couple of my wife to-be's friends will perform this song. On top of taking communion together, worshiping through this music will make our ceremony perfect.

  2. The Son of Man was risen from the ashes of defeat to proclaim the perfect victory of salvation! Let us rejoice brothers and sisters! The cage of demons and devils we must purge. Let us all heal the sick and cast out generational curses and soul ties. From this day forward and the progression of our lives we grow in our narrow walk to the kingdom of righteousness! The grave has been robbed and Death no longer has a hold on our obedience to the Word of Christ!

  3. I first heard this beautiful worship song via another video, here @ YouTube, in April 2019. I loved it! However, the last verse surprised and shocked me so deeply that I wrote and posted the following very long commentary, on the date and at the time listed at the end.
In brief: I refuse to match the Holy name of Jesus Christ with the verb to "rob" I have just discovered this video. I still feel the same way! But now more than ever, as the deadly COVID-19 pandemic is paving routes for thieves from all walks of life! Please pray for the little children who might be internalizing and eventually normalizing the negative, offensive, dangerous connotations of that verb in my Divine Savior's curriculum vitae!
    -==============================

"OUR GOD HAS ROBBED THE GRAVE"

    NOT MY GOD!!!

CIEL! I must have been on another planet, when that song was collecting applauses! I love it, but my conscience prevents me from uttering the last verse in the Chorus.

Say, why are self-identified Christ worshipers glorifying a god whom they identify as a ROBBER? How can anyone imagine God a THIEF??? !!! ???

Have the artists been made aware that they are actually dishonoring the Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent Creator of the universe, who, in His commandments, prohibits such a vile action as stealing?

I boldly affirm that HE, the Head of the Holy Trinity, His Son Jesus Christ, and His cartels of faithful Angels DID NOT HAVE, nor could have had ANY REASON OR NEED to STEAL and ROB ANYTHING! NOT a THING!… FROM ANYBODY, FOR ANY REASON! NO, NOTHING IS WORTH TARNISHING THEIR DIGNITY, THEIR INTEGRITY… THEIR HOLINESS!

BTW, the grave was relatively new. The owner was Joseph of Arimathea; the only person identified as a rich man in Christ's entourage; one of His "secret" disciples. He dared to lobby his government {:) for permission to bury Jesus in that grave.

Folks, archeological digs for valuable artifacts were not likely in high demand at that time. In addition, as prophesized in the Holy Scriptures, CHRIST's RESURRECTION FROM DEATH was on FATHER GOD' s smart phone { 🙂 calendar before Bethlehem; before Nazareth. Gardian Angels were assigned to cater to His needs; including rolling off the rock blocking the entrance of the borrowed grave.

For His WALK OUT OF THAT GRAVE , CHRIST ONLY TOOK HIS RESTORED, HEALED, PERFECT HUMAN BODY + HIS REGENERATED, REPLENISHED, RECALIBRATED HOLY SPIRIT + HIS RESTITUTED LOVING SOUL !

….Seriously think about this: What positive image of a Respectful, Ideal Role Model do we expect generations of CHILDREN to internalize from their visualization of “God”/ “Jesus” "ROBBING the GRAVE ”? Except as an inspiration for those in all social strata — Including within Christendom — who are cursed with the spirit of delinquency!

Visualize con artists asserting: “Well, if a dude like Jesus Christ, a God, can " ROB " a grave, then STEALING IS NO LONGER A SIN!” And brace for escalation of delinquency, which seems to have reached the pandemic stage in many places already! Be prudent! The walls have ears for your precious babies!

This NEW NORMAL is SPIRITUALLY ABNORMAL! So, brothers and sisters in Christ, for the sake of the little ones in your hearts, in your churches, in your communities, please spare them the confusion. Keep this concern in mind while singing such verses in worship hymns in their presence!

Best wishes to all for a Joyful Resurrection Celebration weekend!

  4. (Our God has robbed the grave) this is the only part of the song I don’t like, God is not a thief, he doesn’t steal,
This part of the song reminds me of the below scripture

    Matthew 28:11-15 NKJV.
11 Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all the things that had happened. 12 When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, 13 saying, “Tell them, ‘His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.’ 14 And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will appease him and make you secure.” 15 So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
Please read Matthew chapter 28 so you understand the context.

  5. Please don't get me wrong.
But those words " God has robbed the grave " is not right. When did God ever become a robber??
Nowadays any type of lyrics is ok. It hurts me deeply to hear that God became a robber.
They could change it to "God has won the grave / or God has overcome the grave "
    Shalom Shalom

  6. The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”

I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”

4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath[a] enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.

11 Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. 14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.’”

LIVE DRY BONES LIVE IN JESUS NAME LIVE! <3 when i heard this song for the first time i remember this scripture <3

  7. Anybody know an electric guitar cover or tutorial of this version of this song? I can't seem to figure out the lead lines of the bridge of this specific arrangement. Thanks
