Thank you, been seeking God & wanting to be more sensitive to His voice. I'm asking Him to help me be more alert to Him
To follow the shepherd's call, his sheep must hear his voice, similarly hearing Christ's voice is necessary to follow God's ways.
The Lord does speak through his prophets today and we will listen to him. Derek Prince was a prophet of God in our present time. I hear from the Lord through his Holy Spirit and receive warnings, revelations, to my family, my church family, prophetic words to the nations of the world also.

On one hand, I don't dare comment because I don't want to come across as anything but 100% sincere. On the other hand, I have so much I want to say that I can't stay quiet anymore. I want God. All of Him and only Him. I've often said that I want to learn to instantly hear God's voice whispering in the middle of any storm while thousands of other voices are screaming. That's why I'm so grateful for this series. I need to hear it straight and truthfully, which Derek does. In fact, I can't wait for this series to be uploaded, so I'm heading over to listen to the full sermon now.
I've been a fool my whole life. I've walked around in a fog of aimless confusion, full of head knowledge and nothing penetrating my heart. A Matthew 7:21-23 Christian as I put it. But God, in His infinite patience and mercy, waited and finally helped me to snap out of it like a hypnosis patience coming out of a trance. (These analogies will have to do or my comment would be terribly long.)
But I'm awake now and at the point where I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life fulfilling the call He's placed on my life and getting to know Him as intimately as any human being is capable to do. I mourn for the wasted decades, but I will have to rely on His strength, guidance and grace to move past that, because it can't be changed. I have laid everything aside and I'm seeking only Him now. I want the rest of my life to be lived in the fullness of all that Jesus died to give us and for Joel 2:25 to be part of my testimony. Why? Not to have a good life for the rest of my life on this earth because my goal isn't this life, or even heaven, but the resurrection. My goal is to live a long enough life on this earth to:
1. Know and love Him as intimately as humanly possibly.
2. Complete the work He's given me to do.
3. Be found living humbly, by faith, and truly loving others, even my enemies.
4. Attain to the resurrection.
4. Create the most elaborate wedding gown possible for that day,
5. Not let any of the resources Jesus died to make available to us go to waste while we're on the earth.
6. Enter eternity confidently (without shame or embarrassment) and with as many rewards as possible; for my reward pile to be larger than my pile of ashes.
