Todd White was a drug addict and atheist for 22 years. In 2004 he was radically and miraculously set free when a gun fired at him and he should have died but instead heard God speak to his heart, “I took that bullet for you, now are you ready to live for me?”
Todd believes that redemption and righteousness are the foundational keys for living life as a new creation in Christ, and has since traveled the entire world sharing the gospel and living the full reality that Jesus paid for on the cross! Todd’s foremost desire is to see the Holy Spirit flowing through believers everywhere they go– work, school, grocery stores, malls, gas stations…everywhere! Todd’s true joy is being able to reproduce a 24/7 kingdom lifestyle in every believer. His heart is to activate people in the simplicity of who they really are and confront the barriers that hold them back from being who God created them to be. No one is excluded!

The type of music one listens to, and their lifestyles don't always equate. I know people who only listen to worship, and are pretentious, and not genuine, and I know people who listen to secular music who are more loving, and Christ like than those who don't. I never understood this whole "secular music is bad" angle.
Obviously people shouldn’t be doing 90 in a 55 but can someone explain to me how speeding correlates to disconnection/not loving God ? I’ve heard Todd mention this before in another sermon .
I had a dream where an angel of the Lord told me to not listen to secular music, and it was because it was channeling my emotions to lust. Thank you for sharing
One of the most destructive things to Christianity is Christian Rock. And how is Metallica demonic?
He's still referring to being saved way back before rather than recently only weeks ago. And that he was sharing the "gospel" back then to this pot head.
Why? Who around him is accountable for not loving Todd and telling him, "you're Still clung to the old man", "you're still appraising the sinful religious life you were Lost in"
no, christians just failed to write good, creative, passionate songs. It's just cringy, repatitive and boring. Just because it has no christian lyrics it does not mean it's bad.
A good quote by Luther: "A christian shoemaker does not glorify God by putting little crosses on his shoes, but by making good shoes. "

He uses the Lord's name in vain, in a church? During a sermon? Wow.
That music he listened explains his hairdo
Wow! What an amazing message! Thank you Jesus!
So Todd repents, then thinks its ok to blaspheme God in front of his congregation??!!!! NO scripture. No gospel. Only stories using God's HOLY NAME in vain. Doesn't look like repentance to me.
I wish Todd can be my movie writer and music supervisor Amen
This guy is hitting the bullseye on my heart.
8:53 same thing happened to me when I gave my life to Christ I stopped doing a lot of things wrong first starting with that
Modern worship music is, musically, identical to secular music. It's rhythm based, over-emotional. The melody and beat is designed to pull on the heartstrings. Now Gregorian Chant, that is true sacred music. Scripture based, ie using nothing but text from the Holy Bible, free form melody with full of reverence for God.
Been off the secular music almost a year now , thank you Jesus ! I'm was a life long rocker too stuff like Van Halen and Metallica but there is sooooo much great Christian Rock to choose from. Classic Stryper , Whitecross , Sacred Warrior , Bride , Mastedon , the list could go on for a while but you get it . Message me if you need some great Christian Rock bands to listen too. For most classic rock bands there is a Christian Rock alternative .
All I have to say is we "shall know them by their fruits". Let's wait for his fruits. – Iris Green
Pastor i saw you wearing fivefingers vibram, i pray that i could wear one, one day my size is 10us. In the Philippines is expensive.
Gave up secular music before and then backslid, but now its OVER. Worship music only!!!
Thank you Todd for sharing this me and my husband strongly agree with you. We just recently left a church because the pastor got angry because we left a baby shower which was supposed to be in fellowship with believers and they were blaring country music the pastor was there. Me and my husband quietly left and never got out of the car. The next day we was rebuked by the pastor. Me and my husband got delivered from secular music we know how bad it is for you and your soul.
I needed this. Lifting up my hands to Abba when I've fallen.
I love they way he breaks down the gospel without making me feel guilty I love Todd White he’s amazing
Would love to see him speak with brother Gino Jennings
I'm tired of seeing people who tell something but doing the opposite.
new kanye is some next level worship right there in terms of musicality
I drive to work daily with a non-Christian guy and once in awhile I have Christian music playing, whenever it’s a worship song it is high-pitched and sounds like whining, which he absolutely does not like, it’s not the lyrics that he does not like or the fact that it’s worship music, but it’s the the way it is performed, and I agree with him to some extent.
Why do many so-called worship songs have to be in a crying-like voice? Why does it have to be high-pitched even if you do not have a voice to sing a high pitch? Why do singers whine?
Do they assume that God is far far away? Then you have to scream to him?
Repentance is not about abandoning sin. It’s about abandoning any trust in our own works. Repentance, through and through, is turning completely away from trust in one’s goodness to trust in Jesus’ perfection for us.
How many charlatans like this one America have l
Right guys, at first it seemed so hard to give up secular music. However, after you completely give it up for a while, there is no way I can go back. I actually cringe whenever I am somewhere I feel forced to listen to secular music.
are japanese songs about motivation harmful or learning from genius secular music compositions and mastering?
It's funny when a man who is so called religious, preaches against religion all the time.
Here we go with those ugly shoes again, what are those!!!!!
I gave up secular music 10 years ago never going back to that garbage.
Not real listen to David Wilkenson
Metallica now believes in God.
This is so helpful for me right now! Thank you
so to you every music that calls itself "Christian" is Christian? Yikes
Hi todd think if we ever get to meet sir I think we should talk about country music. It has gospel roots and have forever. Hope you can educated, my brother on country music.
Jesus loves you. 🙂
soooooo true… good beats SOUND amazing but whoa… the lyrics. I was a metal head. Yep… all that stuff. I was like man! I was so blind! now… now I know what TRUE meaning feels like when I listen to 10,000 Reasons … and also Oceans… now it wrecks me! the old stuff is bland in comparison. one is excitement the other is your heart. but I didn't learn that till later.
Oh my goodness… blue claw crabs. PA girl but chesapeake in the summer! best food in the world. rofl
So is Todd basically saying that is wrong to appreciate the art of music? That means that I must stop at appreciating and discovering/gazing the amazingness of the fine arts if the art pieces aren't Christian, stop reading books that aren't Christian. Why not also stop buying products not sold by Christians? Also stop watching ANYTHING that isn't Christian on tv/internet? since appreciating anything non-Christian is wrong? Hmmm… I'm not convinced. Sorry. I've stopped listening to songs/bands that sing crap, but there are many really good artists out there with meaningful songs. They compose as a way to liberate their hearts and feelings. What's wrong with that?
