Lyrics

Verse 1
There’s a grace when the heart is under fire
Another way when the walls are closing in
And when I look at the space between
Where I used to be and this reckoning
I know I will never be alone

Chorus
There was another in the fire
Standing next to me
There was another in the waters
Holding back the seas
And should I ever need reminding
Of how I’ve been set free
There is a cross that bears the burden
Where another died for me

Tag
There is another in the fire

Verse 2
All my debt left for dead beneath the waters
I’m no longer a slave to my sin anymore
And should I fall in the space between
What remains of me and this reckoning
Either way I won’t bow
To the things of this world
And I know I will never be alone

Chorus 2
There is another in the fire
Standing next to me
There is another in the waters
Holding back the seas
And should I ever need reminding
What power set me free
There is a grave that holds no body
And now that power lives in me

Bridge
And I can see the light in the darkness
As the darkness bows to Him
I can hear the roar in the heavens
As the space between wears thin
I can feel the ground shake beneath us
As the prison walls cave in
Nothing stands between us
Nothing stands between us

Verse 3
There is no other name
But the Name that is Jesus
He who was and still is
And will be through it all
So come what may in the space between
All the things unseen and this reckoning
I know I will never be alone

Chorus 3
There’ll be another in the fire
Standing next to me
There’ll be another in the waters
Holding back the seas
And should I ever need reminding
How good You’ve been to me
I’ll count the joy come every battle
‘Cause I know that’s where You’ll be

  1. I've only been to a worship service where Amanda was one of the worship leaders of the night. At that time, Bethel rarely came to my country and I feel that young adult Christians were treating it as a leisure experience – a concert. You could hear people yelling out the lyrics, singing their best but it isn't for the purpose of worship but as fans of Bethel Music. The atmosphere felt so dry even though people seem to be singing their lungs out. Amanda stayed quiet for a good 4/5 of the service and I will never forget when Amanda broke her silence that night and stood up to the situation and poured her heart out to address the elephant in the room, how she urged the congregation not to treat them as stars and celebrities but as worshippers gathered together to worship which is the most important thing. At the end of the night, the congregation did not respond to it much but I will never forget what Amanda did. True worshipper. Always have the urgency and passion.

Amanda is not Steffany's successor. She's herself. To me, there isn't a hierarchy. Some people stay quiet and remain as observers but takes the front line and execute things others cannot. During their moments of silence, it is not indicating the lack of capability as compared to others.

    God uses different individuals differently.

  3. Did bethel hire a new videographer? This video seems to be more chaotic then their usual videos. Maybe it’s ananda, she seems like she’s more bold but that she’s left a piece of her leading that captivated me for so long. Like her gentle authority. Thoughts? This song is amazing, but yeah just throwing it out there

  5. romans 8:38-39:
for i am convinced that neither death, nor life, neither the present nor future, nor any power, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the live of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord ♥️

  6. I just read the lyrics of the song. Utterly confusing. Outside of 1 or 2 lines it makes absolutely no sense to the rational mind. Much like a Bill Johnson or a Kris Vallaton sermon when you get to the end of it you ask yourself what in the crap does any of that mean. WORD GARBAGE!!!!!! Sounds pretty, emotional but means nothing. Have you ever noticed that Bethel and Hillsong worship sessions are always performed in the exact same dark atmosphere as all night clubs. Turn on the lights, play acoustically, remove the drums, take away her microphone and I will promise no one would show up, especially young people.

  7. I was just a classic rock fan–I loved Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Jimmy Page, Joe Walsh, Jerry Garcia, Jimi Hendrix, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Pink Floyd et al. A short time before Christmas 2019 I was looking through You-Tube hit lists and decided to see the number one Christian video. I was so surprised by Lauren Daigle's "You Say" that I listened to everything I could find by Miss Daigle. Then I was surprised again. I fell under Amanda Cook's spell. I had heard Amy Grant's "El Shaddai," but otherwise didn't like Christian music: no expert electric piano or synthesizer, no big time drummer, no great guitar riffs and so forth. I am a Roman Catholic but thought it was alright to listen to music from my dope days. Where do Christian guitarists, bassists, drummers and keyboard artists fit in? I would like to give up the rock stuff forever. Who can I listen to?

  8. Por amor de mi nombre diferiré mi ira, y para alabanza mía la reprimiré para no destruirte. He aquí te he purificado, y no como a plata; te he escogido en horno de aflicción. Por mí, por amor de mí mismo lo haré, para que no sea amancillado mi nombre, y mi honra no la daré a otro.
    Isaías 48:9-11

  9. Hi, I would like to share my personal testimony. I was forming a line on the first day of high school when suddenly I had a feeling of falling backward losing control of my body, I woke up in an armchair surrounded by the principal, my teachers, and my parents scared and crying.

They rushed me to the emergency room and the doctor gave me an MRI . I was diagnosed with a congenital cerebral arteriovenous malformation(AVM)-an abnormal tangle of blood vessels which ruptured and caused bleeding on the brain, that's why I lost consciousness.

Therefore, the doctor prescribed me Epamin(anticonvulsant) to take three times per day, which helped me to avoid fainting and severe daily headaches. I knew that I had to take my pills for the rest of my life, but there were times when I forgot it, so I fainted at any time or place depending on the help of strangers. I remember when I was on the bus on my way to the university to take an exam and unexpectedly I fainted. When I woke up, I saw everyone looked at me strangely I‘d been unconscious for one hour. Thankfully, the man, who was sitting next to me, helped me to get off the bus and called my parents to take me to the emergency room.

Until one day, I heard on the radio about the healing miracles of Jesus, I decided to attend the Christian church, they taught me the word of God and I gave my life to Jesus. I had faith and decided to depend on God, not on pills It’s like I walking on the sea in the middle of a storm. I knew that the Lord would guard my steps in the unknown. From that day on I had faith in Jesus and decided not to take pills anymore and got rid of pills, believed that God would only sustain me, and guard every step He is walking with me every step of the way.

Then a miracle happened: Jesus healed me! Nowadays I am healed and healthy, I don’t have bleeding and headaches anymore, It has been 6 years since God healed me and I don’t faint anymore because of his grace. God is faithful and powerful. Praise the Lord!

So I can say that God is real, he is alive, he is a miracle worker, he transforms lives, he can make the impossible possible God heals, liberates, restores, forgives, and transforms life. I invite you that if you are going through any problem or illness, come to Jesus he is the solution, decide to believe all his glory will be revealed in your life in a supernatural way. God says to you “I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”(Isaiah 41:10), “For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you” (Isaiah 41:13)

  10. This has been one of my anthems throughout 2020. All of it. I memorized Rom 8:38-39 this summer because of this, and it is one of the most amazing things to repeat to myself when I'm stressed.

Beyond that though, I love the reminder that God is with us through life's fires. He doesn't promise us that we won't go through trials, but He does promise that He will walk with us through them all.
