  1. I had an encounter with an imaginary man too once. Surprisingly though I didn't get patted on the back and praised for it once I explained that he came in the form of a 12 foot gingerbread man. You'd have thought I'd said he could turn water into wine or something crazy like that!

  2. Nice to have a comment from Jonny Vegas also about fighting against religion/ God. It's about relationship, questioning. One question I have no issues with and am please people ask is, "does god exist? It's all imaginary isn't it?". Each person needs to make up their own mind.

  3. Heard about this interview, but by tonight it was out of date on BBC I-player – so checked the Alpha website and found the link to this clip. Agree with what was said as I too met Jesus (unexpectedly!) on 4th September 1994. The rest, as they say, is history.

  4. Came across this clip by accident (though Oogway says "there are no acvidents"!) and just wanted to say great testimony Nicky, but even better to have heard yours Johnny & especially on prime TV. About time a popular secular media had the guts to air something positive about Christianity! Praise God and may it be for His glory.

  5. No Nicky, church attendance is down. People are less impressed with bronze age myths . Of course, fear of death, and scare tactics, along with proselytizing courses like yours. I remember the Alpha campaign a couple of years ago. Is there a god, Pick Yes , NO , Probably.!!!
It didn't mention which god, and missed the correct scientific answer, probably not.
It also claims that it can study ' the meaning of life'. A non question, like what is the colour of niceness? The answer is 42 anyhow! 🙂

  6. I'm tired of these "I was an atheist then I found Jesus.." reminds of the Skyrim quote… " I used to an an adventurer then I took an arrow to the knee"… What a stupid way of confirming your faith…

  7. God bless Nicky Gumbel for his wonderful sharing of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. God bless Johnny Vegas for his faith in the Lord. The Alpha course is a wonderful thing to be part of. For instance, many people come as skeptics, once they take in the beautiful message being presented they are change people. Just like Mr Gumble I once was an atheist change by my saviour Jesus. Praise the Lord!!!!

  8. Gumbel is a contradiction to the very church he represents. His beliefs are more aligned with dogmatic American fundamentalism than traditional Anglican doctrines. I don't know how he calls himself Anglican.

  9. I sworn my oath to God on 27.05.2018 in St Martin’s Ludgate in London. I feel so fresh and filled with joy and hope and no fear ever since. I met so many angels and witnessed miracle everyday and my life turned round and round until it’s just right. I’m winning my children back in court on 04.06.2018. I’m writing this on 03.06.2018. Praise Lord Jesus Christ you are with me and you will make me invincible. Amen!

  10. Nicky Gumble is creepy and getting rich off this. Him and his dodgy bankers at HTB have made some slick marketed course called Alpha. It pretends to be open, but it is very assumptive. It's as close to Christianity as Primark is.

  11. I was an atheist until I had a personal encounter with Jesus. Although it was a life affirming moment for me it raised as many questions as it answered, some of which I'm still struggling with today. What was he doing in my back garden in the first place? Why was he wearing a hoodie? Why did he steal my bike?

  12. I have always been a christian but ive never been im not gonna say a liw level christian because you either arent or you are but i didnt go to church one day i started to go again and enjoyed. Our church was having a baptism week and my bro wanted to get baptised (because of what jesus had showed him on a church camp) i thaught about it then the same night i had a dream were jesus showed me a number of things like a better way to live but there was also a pool in the dream so i asked my gran what she thaught it meant she said it could be linked to baptism so i got baptised afterword it was amazing i felt like a compleatly changed boy. Thanks for reading ☺

  13. so why is this anglican-cum-anti-Catholic programme shoved onto Catholics? Yet hundreds of Catholic Churches realized the senseless gatherings were just for food and fun and not Catholic Faith but collecting easy funds for Nicky gumble like all Protestant and evangelical fraudsters. Answers in towardsovietamerica.com and “School of darkness” by communists William Z. Foster and Dr. Bella V. Dodd

  14. The Alpha Course is the work of Satan. This is my personal opinion from my experience of doing one (12 sessions). It preaches a false gospel and is all about praising that agent of Satan Nicky Gumbel. Johnny Vegas is looking at him in disbelief, because Johnny Vegas truly is in Christ and therefore is most uncomfortable sitting next to an agent of Satan.

  15. The Holy Spirit has been warning me about this church..
I've been watching the videos. And they have turned the simplicity of the Gospel of Grace.. To a gospel of works.. By turning from sin..
Taking all credit from Jesus. Upon ourselves..
