FULLER studio | – “Be Brutally Honest” | Bono & David Taylor: Beyond the Psalms

Bono, the lead singer of U2, and David Taylor, assistant professor of theology and culture, discuss the “brutal honesty” of the Psalms and how that honesty affects both our relationship with God and the quality of art.

FULLER studio and Fourth Line Films present “Bono & David Taylor: Beyond the Psalms,” a conversation filmed at the Manhattan studio of Mako Fujimura, director of the Brehm Center for Worship, Theology, and the Arts. Interview by Fourth Line Films: Nathan Clarke, director; W. David O. Taylor, producer; John Harrison, cinematographer. For FULLER studio, (including New York City footage): Lauralee Farrer, director; Tamara Johnston McMahon, senior producer; Ronald Allchin, producer; Nate Harrison and Tim Ronca, cinematographers; Patrick O’Neil Duff, editor.

This previously unreleased footage of Bono reflecting on the Psalms, art, and faith commemorates one year since FULLER studio was launched with a premiere of the film “Bono & Eugene Peterson: THE PSALMS.” Watch more and find additional resources on the Psalms exclusively on FULLER studio: [support us]

  1. I love this! Bono's mind is a wonderful thing and I love his raw, honest art. He and U2 have shaped a lot of worship music today "Musically" speaking… one can hope lyrically he will inspire author's of today's modern hymns as well.
