  1. John Piper is genuinely odd & oddly genuine. Although he makes Jesus known who makes God known yet no one has seen God at any time. The god who says, "How can you love God whom you have not seen if you don't love your brother whom you have seen?"
No liar could dream up the stories found in God's word the Holy Bible.
When I see a preacher like John Piper I have to wonder about all the ones who seem 'normal' because THIS guy (John Piper) is telling the truth.

First Corinthians Chapter 2 Verse 9
"9But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him.

10But God has revealed them to us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God…"

  2. Oh… my… goodness.

What is so amazing is that I already new this. What John Piper has just preached, the Holy Spirit has been telling me for years. I believe the Holy Spirit has been telling me this over and over and over again. Everytime I pick up my cellphone. That quiet, still, LOUD voice at the core of my being I hear the Holy Spirit say,

    "Pray"

And I ignore it…over and over and over again. Excuse after excuse after excuse not to pray. His voice is so quiet, yet so loud it is deafening. My excuses prove that the Holy Spirit is screaming at me to

    "Pray"

    I am such a sucker.

  3. Prayer is pointless and intellectually absurd, it is a way of pretending that one is making a difference without actually doing anything to benefit or improve the world and humanity as a whole.

  4. Why is my faith weak? Because I'm believing in my (fleshly efforts @) prayer instead of trusting Him who killed His Son for me.

The scuba diver puts on his gear before gets into the water. Exactly what the Old Covenant people did before embarking on something. But it helped them in no way. That's why my Savior redeemed me by His blood and "came into me" & became my scuba gear forever, I don't have to put it on periodically. Jesus has become my Scuba gear (24×7), because my life is fully underwater.

For a true born-again child of God, prayer & worship are his/her very nature. The redeemed of the Lord don't set aside a time for prayer (like the Old Covenant unsaved people did). Their life is prayer & worship.

    Romans 12:1
    Romans 8:26
    John 4:19-24
    Mathew 6:8

There'll be times in a day or situations where the born-again believer goes to his Savior in a physical attitude of prayer. That's not to accomplish anything, but to feel the reassurance of the presence of his God inside him, telling him "I'm there".

  5. Yes, you have been at this for a long time and still never been saved, converted and redeemed, born again from above in the Spiritual having the Holy Spirit entered and residing in you!!! You have been preaching all this time like so many more famous preachers, wolves in sheep clothing that even started in the first century of the Church Age as the Apostle Peter and Paul warned their flocks of disciples!!! The word disciples written in scriptures simply means students of the Word and not saved, born again from above in the Spiritual yet. This as been the same until today and easily been able to get these disciples deceive themselves when hearing these cunningly devised fables by really using the truths of scriptures just like Lucifer himself add truths to be able to deceive Eve!!! I'm not leaving comments to teach anyone, that's for sure! Salvation is strictly between each of us alone with our Most High God and Father in Heaven, and surely not with a go between, man, the Church or any churches!!! Salvation first, than you become a member of Christ's Church. And the Church is totally Spiritual and not our physical flesh bodies, because for that matter, our flesh while there is still life in it will continue to be our enemy until it dies!!!!! If you don't understand this, you are still carnal minded and not Spiritual.

  6. thats true. the day i started studying the Bible from Genesis to Reveleation my prayer life changed. i had lots to pray about. i would ask God why He acted certain way ata certain time in the Bible story, ask Him so many questions, commend Him or even get a bit angry in some instances and tell him and ask Him to help me understand. Please christians read the Bible and taste how sweet prayer becomes

  7. Legit questions, not trying to troll:
When a believer prays, what occurs?
What actually happens that convinces you that someone heard and responded? I understand the idea that not all prayer would be answered.
But, can anyone describe an answer to a prayer that wasn’t something that was likely to happened anyway?
    Thanks

  8. To whoever is reading this: Please consider taking a short moment to pray for my family. My grandmother is currently over 90 years old. My parents are non-believers as well and my three siblings too. Every prayer makes a difference. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and may god bless you!

  9. You may also read the "Present with Religion," a book for free on the Global Truth Project. The book is about the truth of life and it shows the full picture of life for the first time so that you may stop being deceived by the world and be able to follow the steps of Jesus and other prophtes to Heaven.Knowing the truth is the key factor to our salvation. We must know the whole truth, live in it and change according to it in order to be saved. There is no other way to our salvation. With the knowledge of truth there comes true repentance which is changing our minds and there also comes true obediance to God' s law and finally our sanctification which is a life long process. And God in His mercy will give us His wonderful grace which is time and ability to make the proper change. Only in this way will we be able to attain our eternal salvation. We must find this narrow path which leads to God and do it quickly and stay on it till the end no matter what. Then and only then we will be saved!
