About The Author

The Chosen WHY A TV SERIES ABOUT JESUS? We've been making movies for some of the biggest studios in Hollywood for 20 years. But a subject this important shouldn't be entrusted to Hollywood. It needs to be made by us. Isaiah 43:19 says, "Behold, I am doing a new thing..." The Chosen is a new thing. * How it was financed is new: We're the #1 highest crowd-funded media project of all time -- over $10 million from over 19,000 people. * The content is new: We're the first-ever multi-season show about the life of Christ. * The way to watch it is new: We're the first show to have our own app that connects directly to your streaming devices. No subscription needed. Just search "The Chosen" where you get apps and download to your phone. * How it's reaching the world is new: The show is free, but by "paying it forward," you help ensure people around the world can see it -- we're currently in every country. Welcome to a new thing!

  1. I thank the writers so much for dreaming up that clip where Matthew is having the Shabbat dinner with the dog—hands down is my favorite scene. As an introvert I related so much to it and as a result Matthew is honestly my favorite character in the Chosen. That scene was almost like the presence of Holy Spirit saying: "I see you, and you will never be alone" <3

  2. Thanks for the inside view of your world! Oh wow, you guys/gals are definitely working hard on this. Incredible to see the progress! I cannot wait to see season 2! I will keep you all in my prayers!

  3. Hey! Tyler Thompson I would love to get in contact with you. The Scripts for this show are incredibly important, and I am fascinated by the process needed to produce a script that potentially influences the doctrines of mainstream Christianity worldwide. I would love to interview you. Does this Content Owner know how to get me in contact for media inquiries?

  4. I was thinking of another good idea for cameos. Okay, picture this: Jesus comes to get baptized by John the Baptist and Matthew is writing for his Gospel the details. Jesus ascends, like a dove, and from a cloud comes…wait for it…Keanu Reeves as God’s visage saying in this loud but really cool and pleasantly awesome voice how pleased He is and how proud He is of His son. I know that’s so fanciful and just downright ridiculous but can you see it? I thought of that the other day and I just could NOT stop giggling!

  5. This passage blows my mind. Hebrews 11:24-27

24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.(25 He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible.

WHOA WHATS THAT. MOSES SAID CHRIST WAS OF GREATER VALUE THEN ALL THE TREASURES OF EGYPT? BUT THAT MEANS THAT JESUS CHRIST EXISTED BEFORE BECOMING FLESH. THIS MEANS THAT JESUS CHRIST WAS THE I AM PREACHING THE GOSPEL TO MOSES. WOW. LOOK HOW DEEP THE BIBLE IS AND HOW IT ALWAYS POINTED TO JESUS CHRIST

  6. Hi there!! Live, live this series. We support by paying it forward. We live in UT and are wondering what will happen to the set when you are done?? Would love to walk through this beautiful recreation… is this possible??Blessings on ALL who are involved. What a testimony to how wide, how far, how deep is the love of God to reach all!

  7. Encouraging everyone to donate a little and finish the donations for season 2. It was not their fault that they had to add nearly 10% more to deal the the additional protocol to film during corona. I;ve been cheering and watching and it seems that giving has really fallen off since the last episode was completed but this wasn't their fault they had to pick up the additional costs to film. Was hoping that Giving Tuesday would finish the donations for season 2 and we could start funding season 3

  8. Yes, the welcoming of the Shabbat was so lovely! I start to cry when Tyler mentions it!
And to change subject – I have noted that the thumbs-down number is decreasing all the time. It used to be about two dozen, now below half of that! Isn't that cool?

  9. Somehow this one slipped past me and I just now watched it.
That was a great behind-the-scenes. I can see there is lots of humor like "looking for a Baby Ruth". Good one!
Quiet hammers are hard to come by. I can only imagine how hard it is the find a quiet saw! lol
The sets are amazing. I would love to watch them being built. Lots of artistry and skill there.
