Thank You for helping
Yes Lord

I agree in jesus name amen.
God's commands come from His love toward us: He's not some 'overbearing schoolmaster' who delights in making their students jump through hoops.
"If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15)
And we should do so because He first loved us. Remember the cross.
I've a long way to go, but Jesus is faithful.

Sometimes the translation is ridiculous. Some passages do need some clarification, but on these plain scriptures, why not stick to the original text as closely as possible? i.e. "…from now on, you -will be catching people." That's just inane.
New King James Version
Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
If people don't know what 'fishers of men' means, based on the context, we have bigger problems than dumbing down the scriptures.
Just a couple of rhetorical questions, but in our efforts to 'level the playing field', why does the side of intelligence always have to go down? Why don't we bring up the other end of ignorance instead?
To believe
Obedience to God never disappoints.
It's critical right now if you or someone you know is struggling to have peace in your heart and not sure about the assurance of your salvation, share on your social media the video titled: How ridiculously easy it is to be saved by the channel David Benjamin in Christ.
I couldn't care less anylonger about trying to be obedient to a god who turns his back on me everytime someone bullies me and allows them.to do it.
