Jesus is given many titles in Scripture. What does it mean that He is the “Son of God” and the “Son of Man”? In this brief clip, R.C. Sproul reveals that these two titles actually signify something different than what we might expect.

  6. Its the same title EVERY son born from above has. There are many humans who are the son of God. Unfortunately, paganism of Rome destroyed the truth. There is no such thing as a god-man as defined by the church. All sons born of Gods seed no longer sin. I John 3:9-10. Jesus wasnt the only son of God. He was the firstbegotten of MANY begotten sons. Hebrews 1:6.

  7. Nobody does it better than RC. I thank The Lord that I was able to find him on the internet. I used to live in Sanford Florida and had to get out; the crime chased us out before I was able to attend St.Andrews. ☹️

    13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
    14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

  9. Almighty God was given authority by an other Almighty God ? So there are two Gods ? Or three ?

    "Hear, O Israel: YHVH our God is one LORD!" (Deuteronomy 6:4) And the man and Jew Jesus confirmed the old Shema when his fellow Jews came to probe him to see if he had the same One God as they, and he did. (Mark 12:29)

    And we see also that Jesus again pointed out the eternal truth about that 1 Lord God of Israel, The Creator. "Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent." (John 17:3) That he proclaimed as he looked to the heavens and made it clear that his God is the only true God.

    And God does not have a God. That is blasphemous. There is only One.

    "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort." (2 Corinthians 1:3)

    And even YHVH Himself made it clear back long ago:

    "I am YHVH; that is My name! I will not yield My glory to another or My praise to idols." (Isaiah 42:8) "I am YHVH, and there is no other; apart from Me there is no God." (Isaiah 45:5)

    “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.” (Exodus 20:3)

    But so many hold to man-made doctrines and traditions that conflicts with the Word/Truth of God. And they vehemently defend that as they trample the Word under foot.

    "Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that." (Mark 7:13)

  11. Ezekiel was referred to as "Son of man" – (i.e. Adam?), over 90 times…. 'the' Son of man (Yeshua), probably means, he was the first and most righteous (perfect) person in human form? 'The', is the word that emphasises his Godly authority over men on earth? It's a little bit confusing for me, but we're here to learn.

  13. There is one timeless God from whom his Word and Spirit emanate into everlasting times and all time.
    God is outside of all types of time!
    Psalm 33:6, Isaiah 55:11
    A Son/offspring is a container of same Life / nature !

    God will be in all as sons !

This is very good except the part where he says that Jesus fulfilled the role of Son of Man (as judge) when He came the first time, but Jesus Himself said that He came not to judge (John 3:17, 8:15, 12:47). Therefore, He will finish His role as Son of Man as Judge at the Second Coming and on into the Millennial Kingdom (the fulfillment of Daniel 7:13-14, 2:36-45), the conclusion of which will be the judgment of all unbelievers (Revelation 20:7-15).

  20. R. C. had such a marvelous gift in his manner of speaking. His delivery, cadence, enthusiasm and grasp of the scripture was truly inspiring. He had a great sense of humor and had the ability to make light of himself.
    Listening to R.C. was so enjoyable. The sound of his voice had a soothing effect. I love the story where he said that someone made the comment (referring to R. C.'s teaching) that "he made the scriptures come alive".
    R.C. responded by saying, "I can't make something come alive that's already alive."
    That was R. C.. He was confident but humble. He knew who he was and he understood who the Creator was; a Holy God, a Just God, a God of limitless Power, a God of Mercy and Truth.

  21. Let's make it very simple.
    Son of God, because born of the God's spirit and God's DNA or blood…
    Son of man is because, Mother Mary a human gave birth to him, and he lived as a normal human. So first is son of GOD, and secondly a son of man. Jesus Christ is not of this world but came down from holy heaven,the first creation of God as (word), through this word (Jesus Christ) every thing was created after Jesus .
