Many teach that the Pre-Trib rapture can be seen in Matthew 24:36-41. Dr. Randy White believes in a pre-Trib rapture, but does not believe that it is taught in these verses. Rather, “one taken and one left behind” is a reference to the judgment of the Second Coming.

  2. You are a Doctor, and yet you do not know?

    In Mat. 24:39 – King James states "took them all away" the greek is ah'ee-ro & hapas. meaning "everyone was lifted up and literally sailed away". Were the people out side of the boat lifted up? No they sank. BTW My hope is I'm one of the Elect the time of great trouble is cut short for. (Yes before Gods wrath.) In the days of Noe as you know things were exceedingly evil that's why God wiped them out. That's the analogy Jesus made. When Christ returns thing will be out of control. For a seven day period Noe and his family was protected inside the Ark, until the flood came. We may be protected like Noe was during for a time that is until we sail away.

For a "doctor," I am very surprised that you did not look up the word "taken."  The Greek word for "taken" per Strong's concordance is 3880.  The meaning of the word is to draw near, not taken away.  This Greek word (3880) is translated "receive" in John 14:3, where the promise by Jesus to "receive" the believers by Him to be taken to the Father's house.  The ones left behind are the ones left on this earth after the believers are taken-received to heaven.
    I have to express disappointment in you doctor.  You should study and have the understanding before you enthusiastically teach the "truth".
    The verses 40-41 is the part of the verse 36-41 which does teach the rapture.  Jesus was speaking to the Jewish believers, not to all the Jews.  What were the questions they asked – how does it end (they may have reference that to the "end" of Daniel).
    Jesus, after answering the questions of the end from verses 14-30,  in verses 36-41 tells how the 70th week "starts".
    Time to reconsider Doc.

  5. I agree with Steve Webb, I am Zach Shaffer, look at the Matt 24 and 25 teachings (very short) on my channel (only 3 videos). For a Ph.d you make a dumb stone mason like me feel smart. The rapture having not been revealed greatly is exactly why he obviated the point of a different season (verse 32) and referenced the idiomatic "day and hour that no man knoweth" and "not the angels only my Father knows" as rapture idiom and type. A time of normality (Matt 24 B) before the suddenness of chaos and death…

  6. The passage about Noah in Matthew 24 is not the same time as the Noah passage in Luke 17. Matthew 24:32-51 is the pre-trib rapture. The passage is not talking about the condition of the world or being taken away. The passage is talking about timing. In this separation, destruction is in the future. Noah entered the ark in Genesis 7:1 and Genesis 7:4 and was found righteous in that generation and destruction was still in the future.

    In the passage in Luke 17, the timing is on the same day Noah entered the ark, the wicked were destroyed. On the same day when Lot left Sodom, the wicked were destroyed. This is what happens at the separation on the last day of Daniel's 70th week when the Lord is revealed.

  7. This always confuses me about the pre-trib position. Are you saying that after 7 years of literal hell on earth, billions of people dead, giant hailstones, most of the water turned to blood, stars falling from the sky, 200 million horsemen armies….after all of that happening, you are saying that there will be the following happening:

    Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage….

    Life going on as normal, nothing unusual here!!

  10. The parable of the fig tree is used to show when all these things spoken of are nigh.The subsequent verses further describe that nearing circumstance, not the ending.

    The problem for your assessment relying on the one word is that you are applying the verse 39 "took" and the verse 40 "taken" as if they are the same root word. They aren't; not in the Greek.

    In the Greek verse, 39's "took" (airō) has no meaning that indicates they are "received". In fact it can mean "to take from among the living, either by a natural death, or by violence" or "cause to cease" (BLB). That certainly fits with the flood.

    But the verse 40 Greek "taken" (paralambanō) means "to take to, to take with one's self, to join to one's self" (BLB). That certainly fits the Rapture.

    The context before and after the parable of the fig tree is entirely different, with the previous noting of His coming being characterized as "then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.", while the characterization after the parable is "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

    These are two entirely different events with entirely different approaches explained regarding them.

  11. The Greek term for taken away in Mt 24:39 is "airo" G142 meaning to carry off, or take away, take by force, remove. Other places airo is used is Mt 9:6 "Arise, take up thy bed…" and Mt 21:43 "the Kingdom of God shall be taken from you". The Greek term for taken in Mt 24:40, however, is "paralambanetai" G3880 meaning to take to, to take with one's self, to join to one's self, to receive something transmitted. Other places paralambanetai is used is Mt 1:20 "Fear not to take Mary unto thee, thy wife" and Mt 18:16, "But if he won't hear thee, take with you one or two more" and Mark 9:2, "After six days, Jesus taketh with him Peter, James and John."

    So these are two different types of "takings". Verse 39 is more typically a negative taking away. Verse 40 is not removing something, but taking someone with you somewhere.

    I'm confused why the context that was laid out was 'negative', focusing on the unrighteous being taken away, if verse 40 was focused on the righteous being taken, but if those were the true Greek words used, then verse 40 is Jesus taking His the people in the field and mill off with himself, much like He took Peter, James and John somewhere in Mark 9:2.

  12. Matthew 24:40 This is not the removal of the church described in 1 Thess 4:13-18 and Rev 3:10. The one taken is taken for judgment just as the wicked were taken by the flood in Noah’s day. The one left is left to enter the kingdom that Christ will establish. or so says the footnote in the AMP.

If the Lord is going to judge the world again by flood then your logic do apply but now it's not by flood, but by fire this time..if you want to be left behind in this 2nd judgment of God and you speak it so confidently, I suggest you give it some thought as to the point of reference this time and how to escape this judgment by fire, its has to be logically be taken away by air…correct? I rest my case…

I disagree with this video based on my understanding and here is why: re-read Matthew 24 using Greek, he uses (and only him in the gospels) two different Greek words for "coming" both of which are translated in English as coming. I haven't heard or read anyone talk about this, but I was going through the Greek and the two words are: parousia and erchomai. The later is used in Mark and Luke and also in Matthew and it means to come from one place to another. In other words, His second coming. But Matthew does something strange and alternates between the two Greek words. parousia is also used and means "presence" or "visitation." Now when you read it, IF you understand the pretrib rapture, it all makes sense. When he says parousia, he is referring (imo), to the rapture and the other form is for His second coming. Let me know what you think! Also, the Greek for "leaves" in parable of fig tree is the nuetered form derived from the feminine meaning "tribe or nation.". Again, Greek helps to end this silly debate whether the parable is about the regathering of Israel or not.

  20. Extending my reply below, you state that "taken away" is a bad thing, but you should go to the Greek. Taken is airō meaning "to raise up, elevate, lift up." "Left" I'm the following parable is, aphiēmi meaning "to send away to bid going away or depart of a husband divorcing his wife.". We need to be more accurate with terms when building a case around our English translations.

  21. The pre-tribulation rapture theory is a false doctrine. It is a very dangerous teaching. It is a trick from the enemy's camp to lull us into a false sense of security. GOD's people have become too comfortable in this world. The enemy of our souls is deceptively crafty. I beg you to stay away from this teaching & prepare yourselves for the great time of trouble. Study your bible and do some research. The time will come when men will not endure sound doctrine-that time is now. Don't say you weren't warned!!!

  22. So many replies show why it is important to rightly divide the Scriptures, understanding the earthly ministry of God to Israel under the Gospel of the Kingdom and the heavenly ministry regarding the Church the Body of Christ.
    The risen Lord Jesus Christ gave to us the Gospel of the Grace of God through his revelation of the Mystery to the Apostle of the Gentiles, Paul- how that God was in Christ Jesus reconciling the world to himself on the cross. God set aside the kingdom by the rejection and fall of Israel so he could provide salvation to all who believe. This age of Grace will end in the Rapture and the Kingdom age will resume . That will resume the words of Peter in Acts 2. Ending in the ones taken to be destroyed and burned and the ones left entering into the Kingdom on earth for a thousand years.
    Study the Scriptures, rightly dividing the Word of Truth and your life will change, perhaps your eternal destiny.

  23. The days of Noah refer to the suddenness of the flood. Like the suddenness of the flood the armies of the Antichrist will attack Jerusalem suddenly. When the armies of the Antichrist attack Jerusalem then one Jew will be taken prisoner and another Jew will be left in Jerusalem to endure the great tribulation.

    Zechariah 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

    It is evident that the word used 'to take' is same in English, it doesn't create strong correlation in Greek.
    It is little too rough to conclude the correlation of these two group of verses based on the word use.

  28. Matthew 24.31… he shall send his angels…, … and they shall gather his elect doesn't say he will leave his elect behind.. The word 'taken' in Matt 24.39 is not the same word used in Matt 24.40 which is paralambano and it means to receive or to accept in a positive connotation.

    And their Symbolisms;  of  a LION ,  A CALF,  the  FACE Of A MAN, and a flying EAGLE,  tells us from which Group of Saints they are taken !!
    As these symbolisms were given to Moses as seen in Numb.2,  that were to be the "Ensigns" ( Flags ) of the four Tribes that "headed-up" Each of the Three Tribes, that were encamped on the four Sides of the Tent TABERNACLE in the Wilderness;

    On the East-Side was JUDAH, and its Flag a  LION !!
    On the South-Side was REUBEN, and its Flag a Jumping CALF !!
    On the West-Side was  EPHRAIM, and its Flag the FACE of a MAN !!
    On the North-Side was DAN,  and its Flag was a Flying EAGLE !!

    Then Modern THEOLOGY  tries to  argue that these FOUR BEASTS of Rev.4:6-8, are the SAME as the Four living Creatures discussed in EZEK.1:1-10 ,  which we know as the Four Seraphims !

    Well we can Easily REFUTE That,  as we Notice that the four Living creatures in Ezek.1:1-10 have ONLY FOUR WINGS!!    Whereas the FOUR BEASTS of Rev.4:6-8 have SIX WINGS !!   

    But of GREATER IMPORTANCE is the FACT that both groups of  the "24 ELDERS", and the "FOUR BEASTS" declare in Rev.5:8-10,  the  following;…."And when he had taken the book, the "FOUR BEASTS"  …and  "FOUR and TWENTY ELDERS"  fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of Saints."
    9 "And THEY SUNG A NEW SONG, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and HAST REDEEMED US TO GOD by thy blood out of EVERY KINDRED, and TONGUE, and PEOPLE, and NATION;
    10 And HAST MADE US unto our God KINGS and PRIESTS: and WE SHALL REIGN ON THE EARTH."
    So the TESTIMONY of both these Groups of  "24 ELDERS" and the "FOUR BEASTS",    Declares them to be REDEEMED SAINTS , and "FIRSTFRUITS" onto God and the LAMB .  (  the word Firstfruits, indicating them to be a "NUMBERED COMPANY", and approximately 10% of the Whole that they are taken from )
    Now the THIRD ORDER of the FIRSTFRUITS  are the 144,000,  JEWISH Firstfruits , who have a TWO PART "birthing  process".

    The First,  their "Sealing" in their foreheads, at the beginning of the Tribulation,  ( as seen in  Rev.7:1-8 and Ezek.9:1-6 , and ONLY in the City of JERUSALEM !! )

    And the Second  "Birth process", being their Resurrection just hours BEFORE the "Mid-point", of the Seven Year Tribulation, and seen as the "Man-Child" in Rev.12:1-5 and  in Isa.66:7-8  !!

    And ALL THREE of these FIRSTFRUIT ORDERS have to be RESURRECTED in their specific Seasons…., BEFORE the Words of PAUL in 1.Cor.15:23, in which he proclaimed ;…."AFTERWARD, They that are CHRIST'S  At His COMING" ,  which refers to the Final Two ORDERS of the FIRST RESURRECTION at the SECOND ADVENT, which includes the  "DEAD in CHRIST and the  "We that are Alive and REMAIN",  and the subsequent  RAPTURE , that happens AFTER the completion of the First Resurrection of 1.Thess.4:14-17,   
      ( also spoken of as;… "The coming of our LORD and our gathering unto Him"  2.Thess.2:1-3, …..at the Second Advent,  Jn.6:40, , and  Heb.9:28 )

    HERE'S WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE "PRE-TRIB" RAPTURE THEORY  !!!
    The PROBLEM with the DARBY "Pre-Trib" RAPTURE Theory  is This, that he concocted this Theory, based on the passage of Rev.4:1-4, which reveals the "24 ELDERS" ( a "Numbered company", and thus
    a Specific "Firstfruit Company'" )  that is brought into  Heaven, right BEFORE the tribulation is to begin,  and DARBY therefore Presumed this  "Firstfruit Company" of the Church, to be the ENTIRETY of the  CHURCH !!  As Darby did NOT recognize the Biblical Doctrine of the "FIRSTFRUITS" !!!

    So since this removal of the "24 ELDERS"  takes place Before the declaration of the Seven SEALS,  John Darby ASSUMED that The ENTIRE CHURCH  "Must be Removed", BEFORE the Tribulation even Begins !!   
    Which is NOT TRUE !!             As the  "24 ELDERS" Only represent  the Second "Firstfruit Order" of the Church, by Biblical definition !!

    This Second group of "Firstfruits", are the ones that Paul discusses in 2.Thess.2:7, the "He that Letteth,  that must be taken out of the way",    and are  part of the specific FIRSTFRUIT  groups of the "Church-Age" churches of THYATIRA,  Rev.2:24-25,  SARDIS, Rev.3:4,  and PHILADELPHIA, Rev.3:10-11. 

    But notice that those SAME Three Churches, ALSO have a SECOND GROUP of SAINTS, that are called the "OVERCOMERS", who are said To GO THROUGH the TRIBULATION and to OVERCOME and KEEP the Works of CHRIST unto THE END !!    (  For THYATIRA Rev.2:26, 
    For SARDIS, Rev.3:5,  and For PHILADELPHIA  Rev.3:12 )

    So WHEN did the "First Order" of the "Firstfruits"  get Removed ?  Well, that happened almost 2,000 years ago, when the FIRST RESURRECTION  had its beginning, as CHRIST was to be the "FIRST BEGOTTEN of the DEAD", but we read the following in in Mt.27:50-53, …."Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost."
    51" And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
    52 And  THE GRAVES WERE OPENED; and MANY BODIES of the SAINTS WHICH SLEPT AROSE,
    53 And CAME OUT  of THE GRAVES AFTER  His ( Christ's ) Resurrection, ( but on the Same day ) and went into the Holy City, and APPEARED UNTO MANY."

    Forty days Later, they ascended up on high with Christ to Heaven, and Fulfilled the scripture  of Exod.23:19, of …"Bringing the FIRST of the FIRSTFRUITS  into the House of the LORD", ( as per Eph.4:8. )

  34. HERE'S  WHAT'S  WRONG  WITH THE  "PRE-TRIB"  RAPTURE  THEORY !!     
    Every so-called  "Scholar, Theologian, or Pulpiteer" today, 
    unanimously present the John Nelson Darby "Pre-Trib"
    RAPTURE Theory as their 'Foundation' for their Eschatology and teaching of the "End-Times",  without examining the magnitude of related scriptures that are part of the Biblical Doctrine on the "First "Resurrection", and the 'subsequent' RAPTURE of the Church,  "on the LAST DAY."  ( Jn.6:40 )

    As such, this Fraudulent "Pre-Trib" Rapture Theory, which is the  "Twisted Intellectual Property" of the 32nd degree Feemason  John Nelson Darby, which was concocted back in 1827-1830, based on a vision by Margaret MacDonald, that she had some years earlier, and as  such this teaching has become the "Mainstay" Eschatological teaching in every University Spiritual Cemetery, (called Seminary) World-wide ! ( and as a Result of the ROTHSCHILD'S World Banking Enterprise's Funding  to keep it in the Forefront of eschatological Teaching !  No doubt in the elite bankers anticipation of "pulling-off' the Secret "Project BLUE BEAM",  for the establishing of the Seven years of the  "New World Order" !! )

    The Bible teaches us in 1.Cor.15:22-23,  that the "First Resurrection" will consist of  'several different orders', which would begin with Christ,, then the "Firstfruits", ( Plural, as there are Three such "Firstfruit Orders" discussed in the Scriptures,  that will be removed at their different "Time-Lines" and spanning a period of over 2,000 years so far.

    Then in verse 23 , the apostle Paul concludes ;…"AFTERWARD they that are Christ's at his coming."  This refers to the Second Advent  Time-line, and the Main HARVEST of the Church !!
    The fact that Heb.9:28,  declares that JESUS is ONLY Coming back to Earth a SECOND TIME,  seems to ALLUDE all these Scholars, Theologians, and Pulpiteers  completely !!

    So let us together look at some Foundational Biblical Facts, concerning the Word "Firstfruits"
    In Exod.13:1-2 , Exod.22:29,  and 'Numb.3:40, we learn that All the firstborn males of the Israelite's were to be Given to the Lord, and sanctified as  "Firstfruits" unto God, and they were to be a Specially "Numbered Company" !!             
    Likewise All the first born of the Animals were to counted as "firstfruits" unto the Lord.

    So concerning the "Firstborn Males" in Israel, they were  All to be "Sanctified", ( which means;  "Set Apart" )  and they were to be "NUMBERED" !!     
    This means, that ANYWHERE in the scriptures where  we find any  specific "Numbered Company",  such as the "Four Living Creatures"  …or the "24 Elders",  as seen in Rev. Chapt. 4, and Chapt.5, and also the "144,000", in Rev.7:1-8,  ( which in Rev.12:1-5 are presented as  the "Man-child"  )    We are in fact dealing with  "Firstfruit Order" Saints !!

    Now when we examine God's Law on the Seven Feasts, as seen in Leviticus 23, we discover there were to be Two very Specific  "Firstfruit Feasts",  that were commemorated each year in the "Natural",  Looking forward to their "Spiritual Fulfillment" !!

    The First of these  two feasts was the "Feast of FIRSTFRUITS", which concerned the Barley Harvest. ( Lev.23"10-14 )

    The Second  of these feasts was the "Feast of PENTECOST", which concerned the Wheat Harvest. ( Lev.23:15-21, also called the feast of WEEKS , Exod.23:16. )

  37. Kinda confusing it says the coming of the son of man will be as the days of Noah meaning all sudden they were caught off guard eating and drinking. So it will be when the son of man returns , it sounds a lot how the rapture is supposed to be like a thief in the night. Can someone help me understand

    1.Cor.15:50,  makes it clear, that "Flesh and Blood, CANNOT inherit the kingdom of God", and that we "MUST BE CHANGED", from MORTALITY to that of IMMORTALITY !!  ( verses 51-53 )    And such "CHANGE", can ONLY Happen at the "FIRST RESURRECTION" !!

    Which according to the account in Rev.20:24-25,  happens at the END of the TRIBULATION !!
    As it happens EXACTLY 1.000 Years BEFORE the  SECOND RESURRECTION, which is predicted to happen at the END of the Millennium !  ( And NOT 1007 years, if the "Pre-Trib RAPTURE"  HOAX" was a possibility )

    So  "GO FIGURE" , you Deceived CALVINIST  "Pre-Tribbers"  !!
